As you see in my picture it is complete. I am unsure about the balancing though. The instructions say balance it level. OK, but the profile of this thing is round. So do I balance it with the wing level or with an AOA built in??? This jet is basically stock except for an 8 cell NiMH. I measured 300g of thrust and it weighs 472g. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Gidday,

If you are using an 8 cell KAN 1050mAh pack in a standard Microjet you will find it a bit nose heavy. I am assuming you are using the 400 motor and gunther prop as supplied. The symptoms will be a tendency to drop the nose when power reduces and not hav enough elevator to recover. As far as balancing it level I don't think it is critical, just make it look right and balance just on the front edge of the bumps. Throws are as published with the addition of 20% expo. I have given up hand launching and use a foot pedal bungee.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your input. The first flight will be with the 7-cell pack. Expo setups are already set for 10, 20, 35%. My throws are set to their wishes, but keep in mind this is the maiden flight. They do mention that you can increase the throws by 2-3mm. My first few flights will only be slow, just to see how slow it can fly and when it stalls. With that I hope to set up my landing program. This plane seems to look right with about 6 to 7 deg of attack. What do you think...
