Zandona -> Floyd or Panther? (5/11/2004 4:48:15 AM)

I am looking for a foamie and I was decided on getting the Floyd but when I checked http://www.steelheadproducts.com, I saw the Panther and even though it is primarly a thermal glider, it can be converted to a slope version and its longer wingspan seems pretty tempting. I was wondering if anyone has a Floyd or a Panther and what are your impressions about these gliders. As foamies I am sure they are pretty resistant but I would like to know how well they perform on light lift and other flight characteristics they have.

I ordered the eureka and floyd a couple of weeks ago (from steelheadproducts). the check was cashed in but i haven't received anything yet.
They are probably swamped with work, still this seems a little long maybe they forgot about me, i will give them a call today.
Anyways, the Panther is bigger, slower and less acrobatic. I would go with the floyd for slope soaring especially if you fly a windy beach slope.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear, I fly at Torrey Pines so it looks like the Floyd is definetly a better choice. Let me know how the building goes
