Heve got them and love them. I don't run them all the time, like when I'm terring my truck up. But when I put my nicer bodies on it and run it in a parking lot I'll put them on and they seem to spin pretty well. They are mounted by two bearings so the spin pretty freely. When starting they aren't heavy enough to really stay still like full size ones do the almost start to spim right off the bat. But once you stop the spin for a while and when you then go in reverse it really looks good.

If you can paint the truck body with primer and put spinners on it you could claim is straite from the Ghetto.

for show would be really nice.

but, not to change the subject too much.

there is a thread on the UE site about the 40 series rims in off road conditions.

it states that there have been numerous problems with 40 series rims stripping or breaking in the hub section of the rim.

the rims are only breaking, or stripping under severe offroad, and or, off-road racing conditions.

didn't mean to change the subject, just an interesting tidbit.

So 40's would not be recommended for off road ?

Not to change the subject but what about those Kong Tires with the smaller rims that make a MT look like a real MT ?

Any good for off road fun?

I think the Kong's would raise your center of gravity so much the truck would be very unstable, not to mention you better beef up your drivetrain and gears if you want to attempt some bashing. Those Kongs are hella cool though, might be worth the risk if you have the $80 for the tires, and some extra to repair the stuff you break. Most people seem to get rid of them shortly after buying them, try for a used pair from an auction.

I have a set of Terra Crusher tires on my T-Maxx. I think they give me more clearance without risking a high center of gravity. They are a bit heavier, I replaced my steering servo with a high torque one. It works great.
