Here is a challenge for the Yak-54 with the YS 1.10. Using the supplied Nylon Engine mount with the YS 1.10 results in the throttle linkage arm being located directly in front of and within about a 1/2" of the Engine mount. Has anyone with this combination connected the throttle and if so, how did you do it?

My best option is to drill a very small hole through the engine mount to accomadate the throttle linkage but this will reduce the strength of the engine mount.

Here is an image of the current configuration:

    Thanks for your help.

i also have a question. becasue there is no wood where there does not need to be, where do i mount my quick filler and my remote glow glow plug (so i dont have to get right behind and under the prop to get it on/off. i am also curious as to how to mount the throttle

Why not put an extension between carb and throttle lever?
A longer bolt would be needed but no holes in the mount, right?

PS. Nice thread ! I may have to get one of these beauties some day

¿¿¿??? will it make a big difference in strength if i were to just drill a hole in the mount? i can loop the linkage around so it hooks from the front and maybe raise up the hole a little

I mounted a servo for the throtlle right behind the fire wall. I also moved to thorttle arm down so I would have a better linkage set up.. Works like a charm. I had to add some lite ply fo the servo to sit on. Mine is finished and it looks great. It took less than 87 hours to put it together!!

Moving the throttle arm down does indeed create a path just barely below the engine mount. Thanks.

Just made it back. You guys really missed it!!! Jason Shullman flying the new not released 40% jtec, radiowave (I think) edge, very sweet!! Quique Somenzini flying his Yak? If you've never seen him fly you've really missed a great demo!!!! The 50% Oracle bipe by DA (Desert Aircraft). A 40% composite arf extra, electric powered, very impressive. Bob Violet flying the Kingcat and his award winning F100.... Matt Chapman doing the tail slide back thru the smoke and the new maneuver from knife edge then pulling a 90, wow!!!! After dark, 7+ airplanes/heli's in the air all with night lights, very cool!!!
