There is no Combat in my area but I built a RA Cores Gremlin and opted not to put the required 25 on it and put a LA 40 to keep the weight down and it preformed well but I was looking for unlimited vertical and the LA 40 would putter out soon after pointing the nose up. After Flying Helicopters for years I still like to hover. I need more power but with a bigger engine means more weight. So I put my OS 32 SX out of my heli on with a Macs tuned pipe and 15% Cool Power fuel. OMG! this thing has to be going 150 mph. I start the engine bring it up to full throttle, hold it vertical and let go and it will climb out of site in seconds. I am having so much fun with this amazing little plane I just had to tell about it. If your looking for a Ballistic missile try the Gremlin with a OS 32 SX.
Thanks, TM3D...

What size prop are you using. I'm having some problems with mine losing power. I'm using my os32 heli engine too. To day when I went to check the plug it came off easy so it could have loosened up causing it to loose power. Any suggestions

also is that thing really loud with the tuned pipe. Our field only allows 90db. for noise

I'm just using the stock OS 32 pipe. Where did you get your tuned one at?

Local Hobby store I think it was $28.00 I bought it for my Raptor 30 Heli. Tower sells Macs pipes but I couldn't find it on-line just now.

So it's a heli tuned pipe and not the airplane tuned pipe.

Hey ysrcflyer, How far did you have to move the fuse back for the CG? I was going to put a OS 46 SX with a tune pipe but the weight was a big factor. I have had allot of planes and this Gremlin has put the biggest smile on my face. Wahoo! Unlimited Vertical!

The black Macs muffler is just a muffler, it's not a tuned pipe. It might improve power over a stock muffler, but it doesn't give nearly the boost a mousse can, ultrathrust, or full length pipe will.

I put an old OS .32F with a mousse can on a TufFlight Predator a little while back. More power than the plane was designed for, that's for sure!

Btw, I haven't checked a map, but there are combat contests in FL. You might have to drive a little for them, but it would be worth it. More than once, I've gotten up early, driven 4-5hrs, flown some combat, then drove on home, a fairly reasonable day trip . (never mind the long distance contests, 8-12hrs of driveing each way for two or more days of combat. (and we won't mention the 20hrs each way I did earlier this year))

Hey Montague, Thanks for the info on the muffler and the Combat in my area. I just got back from flying and trying different prop sizes and the 9.5 X 6 seems to be the best for this engine. I out ran a Kaos with a OS 46 like he was sitting still hehe! I love it! Now I have three flying buds ordering Gremlins. We just might start a Combat club down here. Who knows? I have two more kits that I got in a trade and will set one up by the rules. Right now I'm having a BLAST going Ballistic with this wing!
