I can recomend this mod also. My original drive shaft split and the steel one is much more robust. The E-clip makes a much better job of retaining the mainshaft than that lousy piece of rubber tube.

Hi,

I just got my aero hawk. I have allready crashed it and needing parts.
any recommendation on where to get replacement parts or upgrade to better parts?

How down the training Landing Gear work and where can I buy one if it would help me from braking aero hawk.

I did find a free simulator called FMS. I have not tryied it with a remote comtroll but it works great with keyboard. it has three different helicopter in it.

Any suggegection on how to calubrate the setting to get it to fly, hover would be great!

Thanks
Sidney

Yo Smaric Id like to test out your main rotor head also. It seems to me that my Aerohawk eats the main heads more than anything.
And I think with your new idea rotor and a upgraded motor (G-310 Tuning Motor) and the Li-po system and you could have a killer set up! So hook me up. plz.

allright all theses questions: areohawk great flying heli you just have to know what your doing yes it will break they all do .first off trash the training gear chop em up turn em into fly bars their so heavy it will just mess you up second i like the alum heads you people r coming up with question from me are u using stock alum (like 380) or air craft grade alum (5150) if stock i would gladly donate a chunk of 5150 for a head or two. 5150 is for real air craft and is super lite and strong... allright time to hover (STOP) your not ready before you can fly you must learn total tail control practice makes perfect dont take off till youve learned this.. fly on floor enough throttle to make chopper lite but not enough to take off.. at first practice keeping tail faceing you. allright you got it.... the trick to a nice hover is takeing off smooth this can only be acheved by (tail faceing you ) throttle up most helis will start walking to the left.. before this happens... right before a quick right stick about 3 o clock will be helpful release it to center .. youve just got airbourne now before any more adjustments give it a tenth of a second she'll level out (tail still faceing you if not count as a crash Ufailed try again)KEEP main blades LOOSE!!! this will prevent wobble in flight ..good luck good flyin .. cheap parts cheepest ive found WWW.raidentech.com my first areohawk 150$ used 2nd one 80$ new e bay any questions or disagreements on what ive said feel free to drop a line at Self_VS_Self@yahoo.com

Sorry, selfvsself

Hadn't meant to ignore you

My CNC guy does manufacture for the aircraft industry & he sourced material for my project directly
But to be honest - I can't actually remember what grade of Aluminium was actually used

5150 does ring a bell (or is there a 6150 grade ??)
anyhow I'm can't remember so please don't quote me

resultant assembled part (including steel M3 Screws + nuts etc) weighs in at <11g

Thanks for the offer of some 5150 - but it would seem a bit expensive to ship it over from the states
Or at least let me know what price inc UK deliver you can quote

If you're interested in a unit let me know
