I'm guessing you got the BOX. Well, please tell us what you think, I don't think your last post was very descriptive.

    Sung,

He went out and found the truck and literally pulled it over. Then he ordered the driver (at gunpoint) to get out and unload his kit. Wow.

Just kidding about the gun part, in case Barbara Boxer is reading this.......

Thanks Shaun for letting everyone know what a psycho I am! I did find the truck and after a little bartering I talked the driver into letting me find the boxes.

All I could think to say earlier was Oh my god. That thing is huge! I felt a little overwhelmed and very excited. I had to leave for work so I unloaded everything grabbed the manual and split. ( Going to work with a new toy sitting there was very hard)
I can't wait to start. This is going to be an awesome project!

After sitting there and looking at it for a few hours with that Now What look on my face, I started by giving the inside of the fuse a light sand and a good cleaning. I can tell that no job will be a quick one when you are working with that much surface.

Went to the Hobby shop and got the basic building material for the build. Then I spent another day trying to figure out where to hang the plans. Hopefully I will get over this mental block soon!

    Todd,

I agree with you on the kit. Yellow really stepped up when they made the new version on this kit. I will be calling you.

Like I said, this kit is very nice. It has Carbon Fiber all over the fuse, in the wings, everywhere! The fuse is super light, especially for it's size. The wings are sheeted and are beautiful. All of the ply parts that I assembled today went where they were supposed to with no trouble. I am very impressed with the quality of this kit.

I installed the Stab housing with the bearings and control arms. The hatches are so big on this model it makes reaching the rear very easy. Then I installed the formers for the vertical fins. This to went very smoothly, so I decided to finish one of the verticals and the rudder. It came out really good, the only thing left to do is the hinges. They should be in at the hobby shop on Tuesday. This build is going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully I get enough sleep!?

The first picture is of the fuse laying on my extra long work bench.

The second shows the size difference between a Rookie and The Twin.

    The third is my helper.

The first two pictures show the inside of the fuse and the many yards of CF.

The third shows the installed rear stabilator housing.

The forth shows the raw vertical fins taped on while I did the formers for them.

Finally the first picture is of the vertical fin.

The second is a picture I took at the coast over Pismo. VERY unrelated.

I would like to thank everyone in advance for all of the help they are going to give me on this project...

I can't wait until it is finished. One of these days Buck, Joe, Dave, Gordon, Shaun, Johnny, Sung, Tommy and everyone else with the Big Bug will be at the same place and we will tear it up. Thanks Shaun for selling me my new toy, and for getting me a spot on the couch for a couple of nights.

Tomorrow I will tackle the other vertical and more.........and yes it is 4 am. Time for bed, I mean couch.

here is a pick of one of our hornets ( we have a nest of them )...it is powered by a netherlands peggy sp at 36 lbs...carries 200 ozs of fuel and is good for 8 minutes ( netherlands engines sre more fuel efficient )

did some mods on the plane....did another hatch on top to access tanks ( thanks gary baker )....

sandwitched in a aluminum sheet in the formers ( thanks gary baker )....

captured the spare captures ( thanks gary baker )....

mods to the steering collar that always bends and also breaks your cables ( me )

    http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/24313/Pn35473.jpg

somemore ...drill a hole in your fiberglass top piece of your fins....they come air tight and have been know to expand with heat and gas mixtures into ugly bulges and your done

and if your lucky to fly the shi@# out of it...better use some lock tight on all your gear screws....also when your transporting it your evelavtor and wing screws have a tendancy to vib out so chase em back up or they will be mia in your trailer

take of the rubber o ring on the nose gear front bar.....not needed...it will colapse properly on take off

springs...go to isle #17 at sears..they have all you need...dont waist your time at home depot

Didn't do much today. I finished the other Vertical fin, the hinges should be in tomorrow.

I am really happy with the quality of this kit. Hopefully tomorrow night I will make some progress.

I made a trip to Scaled Composites in Mojave today. I was able to get permission to go inside and look at the Spaceship 1. That is on of the neatest things I have ever seen. My cousin works on it and I was there after hours so I was able to do everything except sit in it. On the way out we went to the "scrap bin and he let me pull out a bunch of different pieces of solid carbon fiber. He gave me a big piece that has
