Looking good, John. Guess you have decided to keep that beast afterall. Good for you. I have seen some pictures of a full size Trojan in blue angels trim. Looked very cool. There are a multitude of official trim schemes for the Trojan. That is one of the things that attracted me to this model. Probably stay with the traditional trainer colors since it does look very cool. Best of luck. Mark.

Darn John, after seeing your T-28, make me want to get mine finished even sooner. Does yours have brakes on it? Can't remember the engine you have in it and what does it weigh?
So many planes and so little time

Get going on that T-28. You won't be disappointed. Engine is a Sachs 4.2. Fly's it very well. No brakes. My oppinion is you do not ned them. I fly of grass and i land with 1/2 flaps. Slow down very very nice. Not sure of it's weight. I hope to weigh her soon.

I was considering putting in a 3W-78 twin that is being offered here on RCU. I think it is rated at 4.8 c.i. and puts out 7.5 hp. What do you guys think? Too much? Just right? I think it should be just fine and I like the twin engines for vibration reduction. Thoughts?

That would be a great engine for your project. I am putting in a 4.6 Sphear twin on alcohol in mine. Let her rip!

Hi Mark. I thought I had posted the photos of my engine mounted with the custom mufflers installed. Can not find them so I will repeat them. I have now installed the stabs and have built ,glassed and finished the rudder. I have now disasembled the aircraft to start doing the surface detailing and hatch installations for the remotw glow driver, radio switches and air fill nozzle.

Gary, that muffler looks awesome!

This is my friends T-28 that he restored from the ground up...it's a blast to fly in. Plus it has a cool trainer paint scheme.....

Hey guys,
I got side-tracked from building my Trojan becasue I have been doing some finish work for a guy at my field. Also obtained a Ziroli P-47 in need of some TLC so I have been completely refurbishing that. Almost finished with it and then it's back to the Trojan. Gary, I love that exhaust. When i am ready, I will ask your guy if he can make me a set. Did you ever get yours flying?

Hey Bob,
I love that trim scheme. I have been looking at that one and another that is virtually identicle. I am seriously considering using that scheme on my Trojan. It will be necessary to modify the Trojan from the "B" to the "C" version, however. Here is another pic of your buddy's Trojan. Check these out.
