That's a direct quote from my 91FZ info sheet. I broke it in last week on Cool Power 15% heavy with extra castor and Klotz KL-200; it ran like a top.

The caveat about petroleum-based oil should be heeded, I understand. But since I do not intend to use after-run oil, I'm not concerned about that.

FWIW, I will be getting a YS 63 shortly to go into a Contender I'm building. Just wish I had a YS 140 instead of this Saito 150 for my 73" CAP...

Are you referring to the check valve in the vent line, or something else inside the engine?

I think he's talking about on the bottom of the engine where the pump/regulator adjustment is, I believe there's a diaphragm in there.

I add 2 ounces of castor to every gallon of Powermaster 20-20 YS blend fuel . A little is all you need. I also run dry at the days end and add a shot of Mobil One with castor added to it !
Over cautious ? It works for me!
The castor is a good extreme pressure lubricant ,far better than the synthetic, blended for 2 strokes oil we have in our model fuel.
The extreme pressure qualities are useful in the helical cam gears and the sliding cam followers .

Ladyflyer,
Where's a good source to get castor oil?

I'm only adding one ounce of castor per gallon of Cool Power 15%, so I suppose I'll be all right. I do this strictly for bearing protection, especially in my helicopters. So far (a year now), it has worked great, with only a minimum of staining on the exhaust componets. I'll live with that, for not having to worry about rusted bearings.

Man, what a sweet engine this 91FZ is. A 63 is next!

Wade,

SIG sells Baker's AAAA, which is as good as it gets. If your LHS doesn't have it, SIG sells direct mail order. They also carry Klotz KL-200 synthetic, under the TechniPlate Racing Oil label. I use a mixture of both for break-in fuel.

Do NOT buy drugstore castor. That stuff isn't as nearly as refined as it needs to be. It will make a terrible mess in your engine.
