Status: offline 		Just bought one of these little dinamos need a little input as to were to balance for best prop hanging What a blast for such a LITTLE plane. I'm using an AXI 2208\34 with a 10X4.5 APC and 1375 mill 2 cell lipo pack. Good run times 15\ 20 min depends on how much full throtle I use. Thanks Iceman

Status: offline 		I feel kind of ashamed to say it but, on my last say, 3 shockflyers. I havent measured the balance. Kind of a " That looks about right" and with a Typhoon 6 3D, Apogee 830mAh 2 cell Lipoly batteries and Hitec HS-55 servos in the standard locations ( 1 on elevator, 1 on aileron, one on rudder) theyve balanced nearly perfectly. When I finish building my new Superstar shockflyer I will make sure to measure the balance

Status: offline 		I believe the manual says 40-60mm back, anywhere in that range is fine.. Love my shockies!

Status: offline 		I have a shockflyer but i'm a little worried because in the past i have flown a hobbylobby biplane and it had so much throw that it went up then strait down. If anyone has any suggestions for throws for high rate and low rate could you pleace respond.

Well, for a shocky to be really stable. I would suggest maybe 15 degrees of elevator travel, up and down, 20 degrees of aileron travel, and about 25-30 degrees of rudder travel. This way, it will be easier to fly, but still do mild aerobatics.

Status: offline 		got a ikarus extra 330 shock flyer with, PJS 330 SFR motor and thunder power li-poly cells, 730 mah 3 cells (up to 15 A discharge, best li-polys around), and JP ball raced servos, only weights 225 grams, ultra lightweight and with a power to weight ratio of 3 to 1 teh power is amazing about 15 mins before it starts to go flat.

Status: offline 		That would be more than enough power. I would suggest a Axi 2204-54 on 3s or a Little Screamers motor, over that. www.littlescreamers.com, or Hobby Lobby- www.Hobby-lobby.com has the Axi motors.

Status: offline 		Hi guys, has anyone tried a 180 size geared motor with Ikarus 10-5.5 prop, drawing around 5 amps - what weight model could it prop hang.
Prop calc says 160 gram thrust, my fish and kitchen scales say 180 gram - what is the real world figure.
