They were part of a buyout deal and I had practically nothing in them. It was the demise of my first Sig Kougar that had me making up cuss words Lightning quick I had it set up, especially on the ailerons. Doing fast low passes, when someone doing slow low passes happened to catch my eye for a second (within a few feet of me), and when I looked back to the Kougar, she looked fine, though a bit "off course", and near the trees lining the creek. I tried for the bank and yank, but discovered, at five feet, and with no time to spare, that I was inverted. The "yank" portion resulted in a full power dive into the ground, at something probably near 100mph. And then depression set in. I *hated* building these things back then! It was an almost total loss... including engine and receiver. I wish it had been on video... the explosion of sheeted foam wings looked like I had ejected a 5lb bag of popcorn or something. I could probably watch and laugh my rear off... 12 years later.
