Oh I'd love to, unfortunetly due to the f%^$#&@ movers who cared less and just crammed it in into a box, I've got some extensive repairs to do on the internal structual members first. Also, the cabane was snapped off flush at the top of the center wing, I epoxied it back in place, but I'm a little bit concerned about structual integrity with it during flight. I look at my DR-1 everyday, watching it collect cob webs-reflecting back on how pretty she looked when she flew. Maybe one day she'll fly again!

Thanks,
Chris.

Here it is, what do you all think??
Its patterned after Ltn. Ernst Udet's plane.
The prop is 28 inch for static display only. I run an 18/6 on the Saito 180. It really pulls it with authority.
Should be able to see it in the air quite well.

deljon,

Cool-looking DR1! I hope you bring it to the Dawn Patrol Event at the AF Museum next year.

Jim

Its the Flair 1/4 scale kit Chris. I bought it already built. It looks very easy to build, the lines are not quite accurate, so I guess you'd call it a fun scale. I have the GTM kit, so this is my plane to practice on.
Yes Jim, it will be at the Dawn Patrol next year along with a couple more some buddies are building. Also hope to have my GTM DV111 finished by then.. We plan on making a big showing.

Mine's a Flair also, except the smaller version. It was very easy to build, once you understood the plans. Had to really pay attention to what they were showing you. One half of the wing showed you the top, the other half showed you the bottom. Almost screwed that up, glad I caught it before I made a boo boo. Anyway, it was fun to build and came out great!

Chris.

I'm not a builder I just love to fly. I have a friend who just finished a Balsa USA PUP and wants to build a Fokker. Do you guys have links to some kits... Also any one make 1/4 scale arf or arc's? Which kits do you consider the best for the money? Thanks for any info you have.

here is my 500 plus flight eindecker eIII from balsa usa. many mods were added, including all aluminum front end, dowells around the fuse to simulate tubing, etc. my friends all want me to crash or sale her. they say they are sick of seeing her every weekend. she does rolling circles on the deck, low inverts, and a little 3d just to screw with my 3d buddies. also, she will fly very scale. i fly turbines and everything in between, but she is my favorite knock around plane and my friends need to just get used to seeing her around. barry

Balsa USA and Flair have some nice 1/4 scale Fokker kits, I guess you would call them fun or stand-off scale.
If you want more precesion scale then go with GTM or Proctor, keep in mind that you will also pay more.

Posts #31 and #53 show clearly what can be done with the BUSA and Flair kits.

Have any of you seen in person the Arizona models 1/3 scale? I really want that or there 1/4 scale. Would like to get their 1/4 scale arf but the top wing is 87 inches and one piece and shipping is too much to get it to me.
