I recently rekitted a plane because the radio stopped working while in flight. I don't know if the issue was the transmitter, receiver, or a bad connection.

The receiver is an RCD Platinum Series, made in 1991. Is this something that I can send in to have thoroughly checked out? If so, how much would that cost?

The transmitter is a Futaba Conquest that I would send to Futaba if getting things checked is cost effective.

It's probaably not cost effective to troubleshoot and repair your radio. You can get a new FM radio, which is much more resistant to interference than your present radio for not much more than it will cost to troubleshoot and fix your present radio.

R/C airplanes are SECONDARY users of the 72 MHz band. If memory serves me correctly, the channels between ours are allocated to pagers. Given the proliferation of these devices since 1991, I would highly recommed upgrading to a new radio designed for the current environment.

I agree, but it would only cost you shipping to find out if it is any good.

Mike.

I would like to get it checked. Do I just send it in to the address listed on the website?
