Thanks Dave, I got 4 of these to build, 2 for TJ and 2 for myself. it's been kinda assembly line building. TJ had some bad luck and a mid-air at Muncie so I will have to build him a 3rd plane. I think it's gonna be my other plane jusr recovered for him..lol

I've been busy also, although not for myself, for others. Built a Seeker fuse last week, and this Hurrikane 200 this past week.

Its been a long time since I've done a wood tail with ca hinges, probably be a long time before I do another.

Looks great Dave. I'll have to give your skinned hinges a try, all I do is CA hinges

What I meant was that I will only do composite tails going forward, much easier to do, but I wanted to do a full stained, glassed, and clear fuse. Thought it matched the wing, didn't have any paint that was close.

Here's another addition to the Racer Picture thread.

I so much enjoy painting in the summer months and 80 degrees vs winter and barely getting the shop to 68 degress.

Awesome job AJ! Its a great color and I knew you were going to use it more. One of the benefits of living in a huge spray booth (Southern Cal) is that we can paint year round. Here's one I just did for Von Der Hey. This is an INSANE amount of work for a Quickie, but I could not resist the challenge.

Wow ... some of you can really use the airbrush! If I had a plane like that she will never fly. Looks too good to fly.

dang it AJ, for whatever reason I can't get the larger versions of your images to load up. I'm in Italy right now, Milan, and the internet here in the hotel isn't the best.

E-mail me a copy of that 2nd pic, I'd love to see it bigger than a postage stamp. Either address works, home or work

Thanks,
fizz

Wow, great paint jobs guys. Those Ninjas (both of them) reallly look good, amazing amount of work for a quickie.

AJ, yours looks great also, nice job.

I'll stick with my roller and Picasso paint schemes

Sorry, had to do that, lol.

As much time as I've spent putting stuff together I would have guessed it was more too.. Let me think here, first OS race it was 2 then the first 428 race it was none, then the next OS race it was one then the next 428 race it was one.. Look at that, I miss counted.. Make that 4 quickies this year.. The best part was that all but one of those died while in the lead.. Damn #3 pole!!
