js3 -> Problems with digital trims? (7/6/2002 10:27 PM)

Hello,

I was flying my Q500 racer controlled by the JR 8103. I flew three race heats and had the plane trimmed and flying well. On my fourth heat the plane was WAY out of trim; as if I had pulled an analog trim pot all the way back (up). My only other idea is that the sub trims lost their setting. This did not cost me the airplane but it did cost me points in the race as I shut down the motor and landed without finishing the heat.

Later, I went into the program and reset the sub trims to where the Rudder-vator surfaces should be for proper trim.

My question is, are there any known issues with the firmware of this radio?

Thanks

John,
I sure don't know of any issues with that. I haven't heard of one doing that myself. I would recommend sending it in for a check out, and see if they can find what caused that. Were any of your other settings lost, or was it just sub trims?

I don't want to start another thread on this, but the cell phone discussion was interesting. Were there any nearby?

There's always a cell phone near by isn't there? Actually, I remember this being a hot topic over a year ago but since then, I haven't heard much about it. It didn't even occur to me that that might be what happened. Would you point me to that thread please?

Thanks,

Grab a mug of coffee, it's a long one.
