Status: offline 		Had to ask this in the full-scale forum… How many people when you saw the title of this thread related it to an engine quitting?

Too many times I read in other RCU “flying” forums where modelers refer to their engines stalling.

I just want to say… Engines don’t stall, wings do. Engines quit.

Ok I feel better getting that off my chest.

Status: offline 		I can see a NTSB report saying this: The engine stalled causing the wings to quit lifting.

Status: offline 		Scott how about, the engine stalled then the wings stalled.

Think I might be figuring this out, maybe a stall refers to the engine and a tip stall refers to the wing. Whenever somebody in my club stalls a plane it’s always a tip stall. So maybe the terminology has been reinvented for R/C and I haven’t picked up on it yet, because I’ve never heard the term “tip” stall outside modeling circles?

Flyboy, the only air pockets I’m aware of involve leaning to one side in your chair.

Isn't a "Stall/Spin" accident when the engine stalls and the prop doesn't spin?
