I have two projects I would hope to turn into drifting cars. Here they are

The First

Traxxas Rustler

- Hummer Body, Red
- Peak 11Tx2 Motor
- Hitec Lynx Radio Gear
- Road Hawgs Tires on rear
- Stock Tires On front
- No ESC, as of now

I have lowered it so the ground clearence is about .85" I also tightened the clutch and spur gears. I also have the stock tires, Pede masher tires, and a Silverado body for it.

What do I need to turn it into a drifter?
Like what turn motor do I want?
Is it okay if it is 2WD?
What Tires should I get?
What gearing do I want? More acceleration? More Speed?
What servo should I get?
Should I get an on road body for it?

I will Post Pics of it soon and what you can see what I have done to it.

Second.

HPI Nitro RS4 3 RTR
- Stock .15 Engine
- Stock X- radial tires
- Viper Body, Red
- HT Servos
- Tx-2 Radio gear

Everything is stock

What do I need to make it a drifter?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Ok I tried drifting my rustler after I threw in some parts lying around so here was the setup:

XL-1 ESC
Pilot 27T Motor
Lynx Radio
1500 mAh practice pack

What should I change?? I also have a 14T motor I can put into it. Would that work better? Also, is there any way that I could get better control on the front because all I did was slide out.... like in donuts

the rustler wont work, you just cant drift a 2wd stadium truck but the rs4 would be pretty cool

Get some old wheels without tyres on and put some 53mm PVC or ABS instead of tyres on the HPI. I have done this with my Yokomo mr4 and it works perfectly, i have also tested it on a nitro car and they work like a treat.
So get drifting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey your best bet would be a 4wd rustler or possible 4wd stampede and drift with that other wise 2wd drifting doesn't work very well and yeah 2" pvc or abs works great
