Status: offline 		the two of these trucks have Novak powerplants- TXT-1 running the HV and TLT-1 running the 5800. my only problem is with the TLT-1 every time i pull the trigger the front wheels spin like krazy.

Not for very long.

An unsealed motor would develop a number of problems:
- rust and corrosion when you return to air
- break-down of anything water-soluable fibre insulators (if any)
- voltage leak in anything other than de-mineralized water
- leaching of lubricants
- attacks by large octopuses

Have you locked the diffs? I don't have a TLT-1 but apparently that just makes it wheely rather than spin.

well funny you should mention locking diff's and all. i locked the txt-1 with bubble gum and it works great. however the tlt-1 has the strangest center diffs i have never seen before so i'm not sure how to lock the center diff. until i figure it out locking the f/r diff won't solve my problem..........

Status: offline 		the center diff on the TLT is a ball diff i think, but you can lock them by tightening the diff up till it locks worked for me .

fitzy what you are saying is to screw it as tight as i can get it then put it back in and the center diff will be locked for action? is your truck diff's locked? please let me know. lastly, you picked one of the best color schemes i have ever seen on any tlt-1 truck. great job!

Status: offline 		Balact Man, I would not recomend bubble gum to lock your diffs. and also if you do a search on locking the diffs on your TLT you will find there are many threads on that here.
You shouldn't just screw it down hard beause you will just strip it anyway. Some people use small screws to screw the plats together or you can use jb weld or Hot glue. Just be sure that it is even and ballanced. You should lock your front nd rear diffs by using the method where you take one of the cone type gears and flipping it to the other side. It's listed somewhere in the Rock crawling section. do some searches... Hope that helps...

garynjr thanks for the information this will help me a great deal. fitzy i was thinking why don't we just trade trucks so i don't have to go thru all this LOL.
