Status: offline 		Well after waiting some time, I finally got a delivery this morning of my 109-E, wow was it ever worth the wait.
This is the first kit that skyskark have replaced the ABS parts for real GF moulded ones, and what a difference that will make not only to the build but also the longevity of the model. I love the supplied scale Ally spinner, what a nice touch.

Latter today, I'll start putting this puppy together and upload the progress.

Status: offline 		I will also be watching this build with interest! I ordered the 109E, but changed my mind, and asked Mike to put my payment toward the 109G kit that is coming out later this summer. I am sure much of the construction will be the same.

Do you have a paint sheme chosen yet?

Status: offline 		Having sheeted one side of one wing panel, it was time to install the wheel wells and retract pipes, before sheeting the bottom of the panel. Once this was complete the other wing panel was built and again the top sheeted.

(I cant do anything about the bunny advert, nothing to do with me, I just buy the models)

Status: offline 		Finished sheeting the wings, outer panels and inner, top and bottom.

I've left one strip off over the centre section where the retract tank and pipes go, so I can install the retracts latter.

Status: offline 		Having sheeted the wings, it was time to pin the plan in place over the bottom of the wing, and using a sharpe pin, marking the outline of the classic Tulip shaped wheel bays.

Status: offline 		Is this a good kit for someone who has never built a kit before (only done 1 ARTF trainer so far myself - and got someone else to make my super sportster 40). I really want ot make a kit and i want to make a scale one at that (probably will have a go at glassing too).

Skyshark is coming out with a P-40 kit? I know about the ARF. What do you know about a kit?

I am VERY impressed with this thread! Thank you for the good info and great pictures. It is my first exposure to Skyshark's stuff and I like their work. I'm looking forward to their Bf-109G this fall.

What retracts are you using? I have a set of Robart 606HD 85 degree retracts. Do you think they would fit?
