Status: offline 		I crashed my Xcell SE graphite last weekend. Well, not uch of a crash since it happened onthe ground, but an unnecessary boomstrike. I was running in my YS80 on the Xcell doing some mild hovering and forward flight, some loops here and there .. about 3 flights on total ... As i landed the 3rd flight , i bumped the ground a little hard and all of a sudden, BOOM STRIKE ! the tail is gone !!

I was shocked ! what the ^&*^&*( ?? at first i had no idea how a boom strike could happen like this ... I found out that i had never installed the screw on the servo to hold the elevator servo horn in place ... i had 3 flights with a servo horn not secured. I can not believe the horn did not fall off in the air !!! the repair cost me ~$220 including new balades, boom, shaft and supports....

I am very mad at myself for this , as I have been in this hobby for quite a while and have a rathe expensive fleet including turbine helis, jets, etc .... Im glad i have not done anything this stupid on one of my more expensive birds ...

just a lesson, check everything !!! and i mean everything before flight ...
