Guys,

I made a mistake. On Levi's website I was looking at the recomended thrust and thought that was the AUW weight, LOL
Are you guys using Lipos?
Thanks
Zimbo

Chris,

Fair enough. I think I will have to go lipos on my next plane. Right now I am using NiMh on my IFO. I would like to get an Extra from Levi but with the cost of the charger(for Lipos) I will need a reasonable brushless setup. I think its between the AXI and the Himaxx. Could I have your Kantana specs Chris.
Thanks
Zimbo

Thanks Andrew,

Have you got a website for that motor that you're using? How do think the AXI would do?
Thanks
Zimbo

i think the axi is a great motor and has awesome power but i would probably go with a 1200 3 cell battery as i don't get enough flight time with the 700. it will still hover at 1/3 throttle with the 1200 and huve punch like you wouldn't believe.

here are the specs:
AUW 11.5 ounces

wingspan 36inches

length 35inches

battery kokam 3S700mah battery

reciver jr R700 reciver

servos are 2x tahmazo 4.5garm servos on the ailerons and 2x bms 371 on the tail feathers

motor axi 2212/34 with 11x8 prop (12x6 would be better but i can't get them)

TMM 1210 3s 12amp speed controler

Here are 2 lo-res pics of the Katana S. I built this and used a Razor 350. 27oz of thrust for a 16oz model. Really fun to fly.

A good friend of mine is a graphics artist and has a co. called "ModelGrafix".
The red is all vinyl and the bird is black printed on yellow. The canopy is light blue and is a separate piece.
He sells the set although I am the only one who has this one.I'm sure he would be glad to make another
I think he charges $40.Don't quote me on that it could be cheaper!!!
His user name on RCU is "Dick T." you can email him from there or you can just call him @ 559-625-3590.That his home phone/business line.Give him a call.
Later
Paul

52jaws,

Thanks for the info on the decals. Levi had mentioned ModelGrafix to me and I emailed Dick, the decals he displayed on his email back to me looked a little different so thought you got yours somewhere else. I will likely buy a set from Dick as they look very nice. By the way, what radio gear, battery pack, motor and prop are you using on the Turbo? What type of flying time are you getting? What is the AUW of your Turbo?

Gary
