Bill, yep , but thats my brothers kolb. i was in his shop when i took the pic. i have a video on my site of an inside view take off and fly around the patch and land in heavy cross wind you can download. it pretty cool ride. his kolb handles like a dream, very easy to fly..but its made out of metal! i cant seem to get him to trade the rivets for glue..hehehe

Bill, the XB is the toughest plane i have to fly. the next one will( if i get to it) will be bigger and lower aspect ratio. but it does look neat in the air. Its flight envelope is to small for a small light plane at its current dimensions. But, i had a blast building it and flying it.

I drew the plans and built this Martin-baker MB3 from 3-views and pictures. It is built to fly in the Scale Warbird Races held in the Sacramento CA area. I should test fly within the week. The fourth picture is an earlier design ....Mig I-220 also built for the Scale Warbird Races Steve

Yes, there are still scratchbuilders out here. Latest two:
Kawasaki Ki-100. 46" span. 38 ounces. MVVS .09 diesel. Retracts.
Sopwith Pup. 32" span, 22 ounces. PAW .06 diesel. No retracts, but all cabling is functional on scale airfoil.

Dick:

Looks well done.

Are you planning on a center engine/motor, or do you have a dummy for it?

Bill.

borrowed it for another plane. getting so the electric motor requirement is greater than the pocket book-- rob Peter to pay Paul. here is another with couple short field flights. 1911 Sellars Quadraplane, 944 sq in, electric, cowls are for air deflection to motor and battaries. flew good couple times at the soccer field, havn't had it to the flying field yet. YES its another total scratch/ my plans. dick

Dick:

Fantastische!!

And the wing construction on the Farman? You are either totally nuts or a glutton for punishment.

Translating from the German to English the word is still the same: Fantastic!!

I have the feeling that when you walk around your house you have to step carefully to avoid the airplanes.

Bill.

when is the the distric election for Jims sucessoer? or is is it something out of Muncie? about the planes, none on the floor, all hanging from living, dinning and 2 bedrooms plus the out back ground floor shop and the upstairs shop. still room for more, which are on the drawing board. this what retirement is for, finish what you started way back when. more photos later on. dick
