Flames are cool, real cool. Those flames on that decal sheet or whatever it is below that 50 Chevy suck. The flames on that pickup are sweet though.

hey lewis,

If your referring to the cuda. I actually picked it up at a LHS. the hobby shop owner was having a summer clean up sale and needed space for 1/5 scales. Sold me the cuda as you see it for $20. the guy that does it normally charged $70.

If its the the truck its a proline ford courier. I went on painting the outisde of the body to achieve that junker truck look. here's a vid of it in action

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8765282606261117312&hl=en

cheers

hey guys, I am hoping someone can help me out. I bought a savage 4.6 on e-bay last week. not sure if it is a ss or x or what. has allot of mods. anyway I had to take out the rear diff and replace a bearing. the thing was apart for close to a week. now I am putting it together. the rear shock towers seem to be held to the bulkhead with just 2 screws. seems kind of flimsy. I coulod have sworn there was some sort of support brace back there. and I have two left over screws. all the exploded views I have seen show nothing, and don't look like the rear, but the front. does anyone have a close up shot of the rear shock tower and bulk head, bumper area they could post or send?. I am really getting frustrated with this and have no books. I looked at the hpi web site under all the savages none of them look like what I have here. the shock towers and bulks are plastic so I think they are stock.

thanks sportsfan. I think I got it figured out. the brace does not exist. I was imagining it, because of the two screws I had that don't have a home. and the read shock tower seems to have allot of fore and aft movment. I guess that is just the way it is with the stock towers and bulks. I found where the two screws went, and it is all ready for me to take it out and break it again.

here are some pics, I think it is just a plain old savage 4.6, but if anyone out there knows diffrent, please let me know.

Well, here is my most recent upgrade of my formally-a-shelf-queen twin engine Savage. It took some work to get it up to X-standards since it originally was built with non-X parts.

For now, I have the dirt bonz tires that I took off of my second basher Savage; I'm going to get Pro-Line 40series beadlock 23mm rims and adaptors for this one too. I just needed the dirt bonz ones because I put the stripped out GT 14mm tires on the shelf-queen (I wasn't running it anyways ).

I hope you guys enjoy this pic; I had a ton of fun turning this shelf queen into somthing I will actually drive!

EDIT Sorry for the extreme large size of the pic, that is the way RCU uploaded it with the "upload files" function. There are two pics, scroll way to the right to view a close up of both RR heads in this rig.
I didnt really get to drive it much yet, just two tanks of heat cycling break-in for the starborad engine. But already, even with the added weight of both engines, one of those Axial RRs can run this whole rig!
