Hi Guys,
for a pilot, here is what I did. Went on to eBay and ordered a GI Joe pilot. The blue box pilots are rare and if you happen to find one will cost you near $100. The GI Joe pilot is not near the quality, but for a pilot figure in an enclosed canopy, they are just as anything else you can find on the market. Good Luck

If you just want a cheap pilot , go to Dollar Tree , yes for a $1.00 you can get cheap one but you will have to work on the clothing

Good Evening Gentlemen!

It is done. The Flaps are in. Please ignore the fact, that the underside of the wing currently looks like something the cat dragged in but I am redoing the wheel wells and the covering as well.

The fact that the split Flaps are not hinged directly but done with offset hinges is a simple trick to keep the tendancy to "nose up" within limits. The air is not pushed down bit can go between the wing and the flaps. An Engineer would call the "Aitrbrakes" I guess

Here is the comeout. I think they will work just fine...

Best, Rev

I took an american pilot took some paint. slanted his eyes painted on a thin mustach and made a head band out of cloth painted it... No one has ever noticed he was a real japanese pilot.

I used a Great Planes Hawk P6E pilot and did some surgery to shorten up his torso with the band saw. He looks close enough under the canopy......

GP pilot at Tower

Price is right too......

Hi Guys, Here's some pics of my CM pro Zero. Same as GSP. I have a 31cc Ryobi conversion in mine. Flys very well at just over half throttle. These are great value for money, nicely finished. Pity the paint tends to chip off of you knock it though. I'm running a 16 * 10 3 blade MA prop, taching at 7600. Pushes about 13-14 lbs on a fish scale. Plenty for the Zero. Have about 30-40 flights on her now. Had to put Robart airs in on the retracts. Had mechanicals for a while but the servo just couldn't handle it. One thing you need to look at is the retract rails in the wing. There's just no glue holding them in. Reinforce them with some epoxy or similar. Both mine broke out on initial flights with reasonable landings. They weren't perfect but I wouldn't have expected to see the complete retract break out. The other thing is the push rods to the elevator and rudder. They need to be encapsulated somewhere in the centre section of the rear fuselage to stop the rods from being able to move sideways. My friends CM pro Spitfire ended up with flutter on the elevator due to the sideways movement, which broke the servo arm, the plane ending up in a screaming heap. Not pretty. Anyway hope you like the pics.

KATANAMadMan, I have the same engine, and I'll buy the same Zero hehehehehehehe. Could you post more picture of your zero, and if you have a video, I would like to see it.
