Chinese made helis are poor in QC. So you can get good heli from one batch, but very bad same heli from another batch.

IMHO, you' b better buy E-sky / honey bee than JABO. E-sky come with radio which is Futaba-compatible.

look at this vid for my E-sky circling around my living room.

It's common to see why one batch of helis has better workmanship over the other batch because the batch with better workmanship are assembled by experienced factory assembliers and the end-users will less likely to find problems with their helis. These factory assembliers, mostly young girls at the ages from 16-18, don't stay long in their jobs either, once they find another jobs with pay of few cents more, they'll leave. The factories have to constantly hire new workers with or without experience to fill those empty positions to keep up the demand of the sales orders. They earn less than $1.5 a day for 12++ hours of labor intensive type of works. What do you expect for a $139 complete set of rc helicopter that can hover in the air for 10 mins. Hehehe...

I like jabo much better than esky. Esky is hard to upgrade and the battery clip is weird. The jabo has a clip that won't even need a rubber band and has the most durable landing gear ever. Plus it comes with a zhen hua radio. I haven't seen any website where you can get replacement parts for the esky. If you wanna buy it off ebay just check feedback and watch the price and you'll be fine. 99% of the times when people receive bad products from ebay is when they don't check feedback, don't read the condition of the product being sold and when they're not familiar with ebay. It's your choice but I recomend the jabo.

P.S.- The craftmanship on my jabo is great. I don't know what kind of girls were assembling it but they did a great job. My jabo hovers and flies for at least 15 minutes plus I have an extra battery so together that's around 30-35 minutes.

Just curious johny2004, how long you've been flying helis? Have you guys even ever tried the jabo?

I'm a beginner and had an aerohawk. One thing I don't like about an aerohawk is when changing and plugging/unplugging the battery. The police version of aerohawk makes it almost impossible to plug the battery, unless you take the cover off. My cousin loved my aerohawk. He is willing to pay me back for whatever heli I'm going to get from eBay, of course with the same price range of aerohawk or less. So what should I get: Jabo2, Esky, Feda, or a cheapest Dragonfly?

Is Jabo2 good for besignner too?
Has any one flown the cheapest Dragonfly I saw on eBay from this seller in Hongkong?
What about an Esky?

Casipak,

I'm a total beginner with less than 2 weeks of flying heli. I got my aerohawk and used Radd's flying lessons field manual as a guide to get me to hover 2 or 3 fts above the ground.

Hey!

Thanks for the replies ppl. The thing is, I had bad experience buying from ebay, the last time I bough parts for my car, never got it.
I really don't want to loose any more money buying from ebay seller, and I really don't want to take anyone to court for couple buck.
I feel much safer buying from a website, thats just me.
Back to the Jabo topic. Does anyone know a website I can get the jabo?. I guess if there isn't any, i'm stuck with ebay.

I had an aerohawk and I totally agree. I had a defected model so I had more problems and yes the battery is impossible to plug. I suggest not buying from Hong Kong or anywhere in China as it is and defenately not from a Chinese Ebayer! I would get a feda or a jabo 2 from an american ebayer. The difference between the first jabo and the jabo2 is that the jabo2, the one I have, is more durable and the landing gear is unique with very cool battery holder that will hold the battery in for ages!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2563&item=5903552745&rd=1 that's from who I bought mine. He has no auctions right now but probably will later. He uses priority mail so the item comes fast! I think he's got a website: www.xmseller.com

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2563&item=5905288540&rd=1 best one I found for the feda. He sometimes has auctions that start with $165 with extras and never sell. See if any of those come up, but for now that's what I found.

Vietgene- try xmseller. I bought from him and the item was in great shape with extra battery, PE blades, 2 pairs of wood blades, special tail blades, and stock main and tail blades. If you guys decide to get a jabo2 get some heatsinks for the motors because it comes without them. This bird is great for begginer!

The cheapest dragonfly is a cheap way to get into the hobby. Don't think you can upgrade it. Plus you get what you pay for. John let me see the auction for the dragonfly, I'd like to see how much it costs because you can get it from www.rc-expert.com for $140. Please show me the auction for eksy too. You can get it from rc-expert too for around $160. He is has his own website and also he's an ebyer. He sells helis with many extras. He lives in China however but he is a pretty good seller.

Well I think I've answered most of your questions. If you guys need any more help just ask!

I don't think I know a website where they sell jabo2 except Ebay.

P.S.- the ebay links got messed up so instead of the 4 stars after the cgi. type ebay dot com.

Casipak,
I wonder if the battery for aerohawk would fit on the Jabo2?

Carsipak,

That cheapest dragonfly on eBay(www.rc-expert.com) is around $127.99 w/ extra trainning kit only; if you don't want the trainning kit, you can request for the battery or tail motor instead. The seller is flexible.

The trainning is useless. When you crash, it won't safe the heli from damage. You can make some spare parts with the trainning kit if you're no longer using it, i.e., the fixed tail rod and side airfoil rod.

Esky is $138 w/o sim cable. Other seller offers the same heli with extra poly li-ion battery and extra main & tail blade for $158. $35 for s&h.

xmseller has no longer offers the same package you bought. I think it was a bargain for $158?

The shipping and handling for that $165 feda is $60.

What are the diameters of the main and tail motors of Jabo2? If I know the measuments, I can go to local hobby shops and buy the heatsinks from there.

Nope. The aerohawk battery is four batteries on the bottom and 3 on top. The jabo battery is like a minigun. It's about 3 batteries high and 3.5 wide. The connector of the jabo2 for the aerohawk battery is different so sorry but no, it won't fit. Yeah I know it's $60 bucks but I just wanted to show you.
Yes, mine was around $158. So is the esky for $138 and the other one with li-poly from China? Who's the seller for the two eskys?
The training kit won't really help so I'd get another battery. Li-poly batteries are dangerous but if you want you can get the auction for that with the esky instead of the dragonfly with extra the battery.

The dragonfly with extra battery is a nice deal and so is the esky with li-poly battery. The esky for $138 is OK but I'm not that sure. How much is s/h for that one? Check the sellers' feedback. You can get the dragonfly from rcexpert's official store and the esky too. Be careful if you wanna buy from China! It's ur choice! Ask if you need help.

The diameter of the jabo2'smain motor is about 25mm. The diameter of the tail motor is between 11 and 12 mm but the tail motor heatsink is like a closed box cut in half with circular corners. It's almost like the letter C.
