Its a shame your out in WI........our planes would look sweet on the same ramp!

Got my new sparkplugs in today........My new batts (4700 lithium) should be here tomorrow. Also talked with Bobby at Cactus and my ignition should be coming back tomorrow.

So hopefully all my engine problems will be resolved this weekend.

I can't call long distance from work out here...........I sent it in on Monday......assume he got Wed or Thurs........Thurs nite he emailed me to call him on friday. My wife called monday, and he said he hadn't gotten around to it yet but would that day, and that it would be fixed/replaced (if something was wrong) and sent back out that day. She is going to call this morning to find out if anything was wrong.

So with the ignition checked, and new plugs.......if I still have the problem then it may be timing or something else with the motor. So I'll send the whole thing in. Hopefully everything checks out though. I'd like to get some flights in during the Holidays.

Besides I need practice if I'm going to try the IMAC in Feb in Phoenix.

All right, just got back from Bobby..........."new" ignition has already been sent out. Though they said they couldn't find anything wrong with that one.

He gave me the gap setting for the new NGK CM-6 plugs that I got......(.18) He also said the carbon build up was normal

He also told me that on the ignition box......even though my box says 4,8 that I should run my lithium pack with no regulator. He said that the new style ignition likes to be run around 8.4 and that a regulator can overload the system and smoke the box and to at least run the box at 6volts........not 4.8.

So hopefully this will fix everything this weekend!

I also ordered some 4700 lithium batteries for my rx instead of the 2200............I had to add about 16oz of weight in the nose to balance the plane so I'd rather use some heavier batteries to take some of that lead out. I also need to install my smoke pump now! I'm running that off of 2200 lithium with no regulator.

I'm going to take my extra regulator now and one of my extra 2200 packs and put it in my .40 funtana! No more Nicad/Nimh for me

Nothing but bad news today...............

First I ordered the batts over a week ago......they didn't go out until the 13th..........for some crazy reason they are headed to Florida then to Las Vegas........they won't arrive until the 21st according to the tracker.

Put the plane back together and ran it up...........flew for 8mins.........dropped a cylinder. Brought it in, tweaked it a little took it off again and 4mins later cylinder dropped again............Whole thing has come off now. I am mailing it back for the company to look at. Not one person at the field has a clue what could be wrong. I just hope it does the same thing on the bench test. If not............

So for my whole Xmas vacation I'm without my bigbird
