I don't Know who revived this thread, but thank you very much. I was looking for the link on making the 3D flag but couldn't find it. Then what do know, One fine Sunday evening, here it is.
I Made a flag on a 4* 60 that turned out very well but alas, my soldering skills were not up to snuff and when the elevator pushrod let go while trying to pull out of high speed dive... Well lets just say the covering job didn't come out of it so well.
So any who thanks for digging up what I thought was a long dead thread.

Geeze maybe it wasn't resurrected at all but just moving slow and steady over the last few years lol.

Scratch built Swany Taco .25.

All monokote except the somgeek air logo which is black sticker vinyl. Cut using a Graphtec CraftROBO 200 cutter.

Just need to add my radio gear now.

My wife graduated from WSU last year so this is a bit of a tribute covering job.

Late 80's Direct Connection Yard Stick competition fun-fly. Found it at the back of the LHS, and did my own scheme (obviously). Now the Evil Eye.

Here's an old pic of my Goldberg Extra 300. All of the letters were cut out of Monokote by hand. This was done so long ago that I used a dot-matrix printer to print out the letters from microsoft word, cut them out, traced them onto printers aluminium, cut that out, and then cut the letters out of monokote. Labor of love. Still my favorite plane to fly and looks pretty good after all the years

I'll take a newer pic of it someday..this was scanned from a 35mm pic

Heya Stickdude!!! Slowly but steady..lol. Got most of the parts traced out on lexan plastic (leftover from my rc car body making days). Saving a few more pennies up to start stocking up in a balsa forest

How have you been??? I keep following the Waco thread..thinking that may be my next scratch-build project (no retracts!! )

I'm need advice on the best way to seal the seams and trim on plastic film heatshrink coverings like MonoKote and UltraKote. On my last ARF, I used a clear automotive paint, but the trim is peeling and once oil gets in under the seams....forget it. I am starting a new ARF, and I don't want this to happen again. If you have found a way to solve this problem, I hope you'll share it with me.
Regards
JC
