Does anyone have a recommendation for a good tire that will hook up well in loose terrain, like dirt and gravel? I have been running the stampede tires which are sweet for clearance, but they are so hard and just aren't cutting it in some places.

also with the rpm parts they are still plastic so it still has some give. which is good in my book. alluminum just bends or breaks another plastic part. just go with rpm, i have the blue arms, bumper, rear carriers (i still havent gotten the fronts lol), and the cover. but my brother has the castors and esc mount along with the stuff i listed with my pede.

yess i just half-way convinced my friend to sell me his pede and i might be getting another one from my other friend. that means that i will have 3 stampedes and my brother has 1 e maxx and 1 rustler. i am into this to much.

Yeah, I'm trying out nitro too, just picked up an LST2. It will be interesting to see how it compares to the 2wd rocket we all love. I only hope I break fewer parts on the LST2, I don't need to buy parts for 2 trucks at the same time! I can't wait for it to come, I'm stoked to have 4wd...

well if it was set up right i guess it wouldnt be to bad but probably not the best of handling. The rustler is more of a racer than the stampede but still not a true racer.

thats weird you can run the rusler on the carpet track...i brought my vxl to one and they wouldnt let me run it.... i also had lipos in it but they said it would tear up the carpet bad. But with the right tires I would think it would run great.

OK guys, I got a serious question for all you rustler owners. I now work at a machine shop and have the ability to make aluminum a arms and bumpers, shock towers all my self. If I would design the products do you think I could sell them? Or would any of you be interested? Im thinkin big here, like create my own company with it. Im thinking for a set of 4 aluminum arms I could sell them for about 40-45 bucks for the set of four. I can even do extended arms. Let me know what you think.

sounds cool but i wouldnt buy them lol sorry but my dad's a machinest and we make our stuff together in my basement, kindof a family thing.

and if you can sell some just to get the word around and make sure they are damn strong. then people will buy them. i think it is a good idea, thats how a lot off good parts are being made. more power to ya man.

I appreciate it..... ill keep you guys posted as to what I have made for both of my rustlers...... keep the comments going though please, would like to know what people think before I start making these. Also, I plan on making an aluminum frame for my rusty and make it into a 2 speed..... i need to buy a tranny so was wondering what a good 2 speed tranny would be.... i found one on ebay for a tmaxx.... would that be good? It has reverse also

I have had my rustler since the DAY it came out... Since then the only pieces I ever had to replace was that plate ontop of the steering servo, the rear shock mount, spur gear, esc and tires... Seriously I never had to replace anything other then that also my car has no signs of dying yet.

I'll be honest and say that with the quality of the RPM arms, and pricepoint, I personally am not interested in alu arms at that price. That is just coming from me. I went with plastic to save on weight and the RPM guarantee can't be beat. I think they would be your #1 competition. That's not to say that nobody else would be interested. Here is what FLM, your main alu competition, offers:
