I would say don't go with that wheely bar, get the Swami. That Integy one only mounts with two good holes, the Swami mounts on all four main mounting holes and has bigger wheels.

As far as the pinion gear goes, I'm running the Sidewinder w/ 4600 motor and I use a 18 tooth pinion and a 83 tooth spur. Good enough speed, about 35+ with 3s lipo and plenty of torque. Just stick to the lower end of what they recommend in the CC gearing chart and you'll be fine. And yes, you will want metal tranny gears!

You can't get Swami from Tower huh? Where's the best place?

So this is the correct tranny gear?

I took the cover off and I have the 86T 48P gear so I should get the 83 then?

You can get the Swami Bar at the Official Swami Site

That's a good pinion to go with. You could probably stick with the 86 tooth spur if you want it more geared down. CC actually recommends larger spur gears.

I believe that is the correct idler gear. I got the VXL, so I haven't had to replace any internal gears yet.

AS FOR THE LOSI Adam Drake 2 SHOCKS>>>>

I put them on last night and I am slightly dissapointed. They are excellent quality, but not a straight fit for the rustler. The included springs are way too short for the rear, so I had to stick my blue T-maxx springs on them. I put the red springs on the shorter front shocks. The rear shocks are too short, so you have to move the bottom mount in several holes towards the body which gives you a more vertical position.

Also, I had to try out multiple screws to mount them. The original screw that was already on the truck won't fit through the ball on the bottom of the shocks. This could be remedied (i think) by using the bottoms off the original shocks. Also the top mount hole is too big for the stock screw. I used some longer screws and the included grey bushings to mount the tops. The front bottom mounts need a wider ball joint to fit the space, so I just put the stock ball in, but the shock is kinda loose on it.

Overall suspension still seems very soft even with the T-max springs on, not sure how good they will be for bashing. Our RC club is supposed to be doing a demo at an upcomming city festival so I'm going to stick the street tires back on and see how it handles. I'll follow up with more including pics later.

Yep I will answer you right now. The answer is it is a great basher, and a good racer, I mean it does go 70+ after all. (Not that you go that fast at a track.)

its good fo bashing as long as u are ready to replace parts...do not get aluminum shock towers...make sure u get the rpm front bumper...and if u run a wheelie bar on it make sure u take it off in the dirt or when jumping it....that's a good start...if u plan on getting lipos for it..u have to run 11 volts to go speeds of 60 plus...and u have to begeared very differently

Because if you land up-side-down then you will more then likely bend it, and when you try to bend it back, it tears.
