Hey all, I got my nephew and brother-in-law a stampede and rustler this past christmas and they love there trucks. I’m sure you all know the stock titan motors don’t last and I have had to replace them already. I’m looking for a good and lower priced, brushed motor to put in both trucks when the motors go again. And for all you that are going to say go brushless, I don’t feel like spending close to $400 on new motors and esc’s for both trucks, they cant afford to get them there self’s, they have enough trouble controlling the 12t titan, and there not my trucks. I was looking at the Epic Intense Modified Motor 15T Double. I was wondering If any one had any thoughts one it. I would like a 15-17t and not spend much over $30. Just asking for some opinions.

Hi, and yes we all know the Titan sucks...LOL
But here are my motor recommendations.

Associated LRP V10 Spec.4 12T Double

and the

Associated LRP GT3 Turbo Motor 12T Double

Hi people... i´m back from united states... it was a lifetime trip LoL...

finally i have a lot of parts... for my rustler... the best one is a developer kit from A123 systems... to make two 3s1p packs and a wat´s up meter to direct charge from the car battery... and on the first charge... WOW... this battery rules... wheelies all over... almost uncontrolable!!! was a great trip... and the VXL now runs even faster!!!!

What is A LI-Fe? Is it like a Li-Po? If so I don't want one, they will burn my house down!
Also Ni-Mh is not a wast of money!

I always store my li-po's in a big coffeemug and nothing ever happened. I also don't overcharge or overdischarge. When you treat your lipo properly you won't have any problems.
It's like a liquid gas tank in a car, it's basically a bomb but with the right care theyre fine!!

I got my light kit from autozone, they are used for dash lights. I just got an end from the receiver wires and attached it to the wires from the lights and pluged it into the batt. port on my receiver. Then I drilled holes for them and hot glued them in.

It is up to you, weather you what a a combo, or do the glueing yourself.
Also I have no idea about the wheels.

I would run these up front.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPZD4&P=7

And these in the back.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDT95&P=7

Here is what I use for wheels.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDNC5&P=7

I use fronts all round, it make the back wider, which means it has a wider track, which means that it is more stable.
