Is MIP going to make the aluminum c.v.'s for the rustler? I would rather have those other than the steel ones, for weight reasons.

Maddrums: no, at least not now, you can get the steel ones for $26.99 which isn't bad... they aren't too heavy

Wicked: Yeah that's what I'm running, the pics are of the MAIN tranny, the little arms are going to be going forward and back instead of left and right....
I made my design but yet figure out how or what to make the chassis out of.... I may just do plexi all the way, use some CA to hold it together with some aluminum crossbars? what do you think? it's a lot more durable and stiffer then the sheeting, maybe just use the sheeting as a backplate? and support it with the crossbars? LMK... also, the steering, check out what FastFred posted on your thread it really helps, at least it did for me... I will look for something to see if it can be explained easier...

Has anyone used the steel outdrives for the rustler? I think I may get some for my diffs... LMK if they are worth it....

personally id go plexi all the way, if you want it to look good make some patterns for the sides out of alluminum and bolt it on kind of like a cutout but youll have a stronger chassis than if you cut out the design from the plexi..... personally id use long bolts to hold the sides apart then just add a spacer in the center to hold your width... instead of using crossbars.... im still trying to come up with a steering layout... gotta keep my eye out for a cheap full tranny.... and gotta come up with an idea for the axle... id like it longer than the sliders could be.... once i have everything planned out ill probably make the chassis(not assemble it or anything) and sell it lol, i mean if a gecko 2 out of ally makes 200$ and i can build a decent rock crawling design that doesnt use a clod base, maybe i could get some decent cash lol

wicked

yeah I could do that too.... I'd have to look into it... I can make plexiglass designs and sell them on here or eBay.... thnx for the idea

Tranny: You can always look for a traxxas tranny, it's the way to go becuase you attach the CV's to the tranny itself instead of sliding it in.... what are these sliders you are talking about? ¿ ?

Thanks for the link.. I want to get a set of the steel outdrives, I'll put them on when i get my cvd's. These plastic ones suck, I keep getting rocks and stuff stuck between the cv and the a arms. I just want to drive and not have to track the car down because of something stupid like that!!!

Didn't buy them yet. Was waiting to get the cv's, and do it all in one shot. But I should do that soon.

Has anyone heard of a Baha frog? lmk
