Mike, I have 3 5945's going in the tail of a 80" funfly and 4 more 5625's going in the wings of this same plane. My quesiton is can I solder in heavy gauge wire instead of spending a fortune on long extensions?

The only problem with that is the servos cannot be programmed through the long leads, or extentions. They can only be programmed through the stock lead.

So, if you don't plan to program them it will be fine.

Mike.

I would get a short extension and extend it with the heavy gage wire so you would not hurt the servo.Just A idea.Take care-Wilburn

Mike,
I didn't know you could not program the servo through an extension. My question is what gage wire is needed so that you can program it through the extension?

Geistware- I don't know... they don't like anything over 4" even with our heavy duty wire.

Is this to say that you can program the servos with the stock lead, and then use the extension? Will this keep the programmed neutral and endpoints for instance?
