Check out the currently popular LST posting and you'll come to the conclusion that it's a very solid truck. Just posting what has broken by users so far here would be unjust to the truck and Losi. From the thread you'll see about 100% satisfaction with the truck and the only damages being caused by improper operation of the vehicle. That's the nice way to say showing off yes?

From what I have seen in that post there are absolutely zero faults in the manufacturing/design of the truck, unlike the release of the CEN just a few weeks before. If you're contemplating getting an RC truck, reading the current post will cost you about $600. After-all, it convinced me to get it over the MGT or Savage SS.

See you at the track!

Umm...why is it necessary to open a thread like this? I'm sure if someone has a major problem...they'll post it. Until then...why not give Losi, and their products, the respect they deserve?

I don't think Badboy is posting this in a malicious way. He's just trying to get some feedback on damage reports to see what he has to beef up before he buys the LST... if there even needs any beefing up

From what I've read of the LST post the tally so far is:

Dead electric starter
Broken A-arms
Snapped turnbuckle

Also someone said they stripped out the aluminum gears in the transmission after and engine swap but there were other conditions. That's a pretty short list though, I can actually count it all on one hand like was first said in the Genesis review thread, which turned out very wrong. heh

Anyways, if I got anything wrong or if there are additions feel free to add to this list. Meanwhile I'm waiting for mine to arrive.

OK guys and gals, I purchased the truck last Friday and spent Saturday running in the motor. Took it to our track on Sunday to finish the break in and get off the street, after a 4 or 5 tanks I noticed the brakes weren't working with the authority they had been, brought the truck in and noticed the body was getting pinched in the middle. I don't know how, but the ladder frame broke on both sides in the front of the bottom middle skid plate, I didn't do anything to this truck my other trucks haven't done more than a few times. I have called Team Losi and they are trying to find a part that could be shipped out to me so I can continue to run this Ballistic Beast. I did notice the use of Red loctite on most of the metal to metal parts as I was checking for loose fasteners, but I also noticed the use of some type of thread compound on screws for the radio box, fuel tank and ladder frame. Other than the ladder frame problem, I have to say this truck is the best handling RTR truck I have driven and definitely the fastest, Oh and you gotta love those shocks.

Frankly;I don't see any thing wrong with a problem post;evry other truck has had this type of thread. Losi certainly wants to know and I do as I am possibily going to get one in a few months. Heck;this truck is just released and I expect to hear the first use rave reviews but am really waiting for users that get at least a gallon thru hard bashing ;well past the just broke-in stage it's at how. One nice thing is I know the engine which is a rebadged .247. So keep them coming ;if your has a problem and ignore the guys that for some reason want to hide problems or are afraid to hear them.

Well,

Its not really right to say "the shocks broke.. so they must be bad". Ususally what you DONT HEAR is that the truck did a 360' off a brick wall and landed on the left front tire, doing 20 Mph in the -y direction.

I hear one report of something breaking then that is one report. It's how many times this same part breaks that leads to a conclusion that the part may need upgrading or be defective. The MGT two speed gears and lower arms are good examples. Reported numerous time on forum. Reported then to AE pointing out the forum. AE announced oit would test parts ;shortly thereafter new gears and new arms,so AE agreed. I really don't think any company would go by just one report or not verify the info. In this case I really think it helped AEW reputation for customer service. Also ever notice that almost all real problems are found by end-users;not those testing for Mags etc.look at the CEN forum problems with Gensis was found by end users not CEN or anyone else. It really seems that too many times with one report the end users is blamed for doing something wrong. Then when more reporta start coming in that guy that often got bashed doesn't even get a "you were right".I personally go by other users and forget the hype by mags etc.

hey guys, well guess what? i seemed to have snapped the left front wheel axle from the dog bone. It was a 4 foot jump and i was getting cocky doing the jump over and over. Well i came off the jump akward and at at least 25mph, the truck landed left front tire first into a angled dirt hill and it instantly popped the tire off. Wow, what a scene to watch. i wish i had a camera with me at that moment. I was at a dirt track and was very impressed with the the trucks massive shocks swallowing up the jumps, i had about 10 or so flip overs which to my suprise nothing had fallen apart. The truck most of the time flipped over and landed back on its tires, which was awesome. so here is some pics of the aftermath.
