Danseys "may" be redoing the dirt track this weekend (Sept 4 & 5), so you may not recognize it when you get back. I only ran the last track lay out once, so it doesn't really matter to me unless they put in a bunch of jumps that I can't see over as has been done in the past. The owner was unsure if it was a "firm" go or not because of an equipment issue, but that is what I was told last night. I guess you'll find out when you return.

Is it going to be a late night race and if so, times?
Decatur & Sahara store?
If so, have you been to one of their races yet?

If I show, I'll wear a Kyosho or Mini-Z hat or if I space it out, look for an older red Corvette with a ROAR sticker. If it is there, I am there somewhere. However, I have yet to stay long at a race held at that store since the surface are they have ran on when I have been there is very limited. You can always PM your cell if you want me to call if and when I show up.

PM is coming...........

I'll be wearing a Hobby X-treme white shirt. I'll try to be on the sidewalk, Silver table, car is white and red or silver and red body. I'll be wearing an Airforce hat (blue)

From what I hear you show up around 4-4:30.........try to get a spot on the sidewalk(1 double outlet there for everyone) Sign up ends at 5:30 and racing starts soemtime after.

Never been to the races there.........or even seen anyone who does race there. They said (store peops) that they get around 20-30 entries........I did go there yesterday to confirm and try to buy some AE767 brushes (of which they had none).

Sam

I probably won't make it that early since it is a workday for me and the earliest would be closer to 5:30 - 6:00 pm. When I have seen a Decatur/Sahara store parking lot race (on two separate occasions held on the weekends), the employees simply blocked off the area outside the front door to the edge of the actual parking area. People usually set up tables right in front of the store windows on the sidewalk. Others worked out of their vehicles to the west of the store (or the right hand side as you enter). Basically, the race area was so small that I watched a few Savages and T-Maxxs bounce up onto the store front curb because the race area was so small. It's a shame too since there is a large parking area but it may be an issue with the other tenants. I just hope that you are not too disappointed if they haven't changed their race set up. I'll PM you my cell number in case you leave so that you can call me ahead of time.

I'm sure it'll be somewhat of a dissappointment, but I haven't ran my onroad car in about 8months so anything will be good.

Got your #........call me when you get in. I don't go back to work till Tuesday!!!!!!!

It must be nice--Friday off. Then again, I'll be taking time off soon for Hobby Visions & SEMA. It's late for some, though not for me, but since I don't know your schedule I'll give you a ring tomorrow afternoon if I don't hear from you sooner.

I just moved here so I took off about 1 month to get adjusted........I'm back to work Tuesday.

As you can see I stayed up late tonite to cut motors and rebuild my car to the onroad setup vs. the carpet setup I had on it. I also checked for some worn out parts. Even went ahead and cycled my batts a few times.

I'll call you around 2-330 ish

It was nice meeting you and your family. I left there, drove down the street, and ended up purchasing a flight simulator. Now I plan to install it and crash a helicopter or two.

Spooner,

As far as I know the track would be open, but I would call first especially since the owner also informed me Friday night that he might be selling the dirt track. I always call ahead of time anyway when it comes to the dirt track. I charged up my "nitro" stuff last night but played with the flight simulator too long to make it to the track. From my understanding, there were a few people there last night.

Saturday? What time, so I can go hide. If you get a chance, check out the 1/4 scale race in Boulder City too. Practice starts the day prior to Hobby Visions and it will probably run later at night the Hobby Visions. It also ends that Saturday.
