Not bad for a camera I can carry around in my pocket. By the way, I have the new Kyosho 1/16th scale Half8 mini-buggy coming. It should be here next week, so even if I don't do well racing in California this weekend, I'll have something new to play anyway.

Here is a photo of it with its new oil shocks.

The pep is nice though the buggy is still in the testing stages--it's just too bad the stock motor shaft is a different size from the brushless motor since the freaking stock pinion gear slipped when I tried to get on the buggy, then I stripped out the pinion when I tried to tighten it down some more. However, I just finished making a sleeve for the shaft and for the few bleeps I gave it, the pinion stayed on. For how long, that is the unanswered question and next test. I also changed out the shock springs so they are a little softer now.

Edit: Well it appears I messed up the brushless motor when I made the sleeve and stuck on the stock pinion. However, the Mini-Inferno is not deadlined since I've already replaced the motor with another Mamba Competition X Package 8000kv motor--I'm sure Dave liked the sale and I appreaciated the help as we both tore it apart on the store counter (we both learned some about this little guy tonight). This time I stuck a Trinity Mini-T Hi-Speed Metal Pinon gear on it. I also shimmed the transmission using Mugen Seiki o-rings, greased it with some Team Associated Silicone Grease, and ended up replacing another part that was lost in the overall and later found with another Losi Mini-T part. I guess my Kyosho Mini-Inferno is a jack-of-all-trades now with Castle Creations, Mugen Seiki, Team Trinity, Team Associated, and Team Losi parts. I might as well add some Megatech lights (instead of Kyosho Mini-Z LEDs). By the way, the shocks worked great except when showing off and flipping over the speed bumps--I sratched the fake head doing that number.

Missed your post, but I didn't know the answer anyway though Finishline is having races on Saturdays. As far as specific Las Vegas track information is concerned, I would also check the Starting Grid forum: http://www.rc-racing.com/cgi-bin/backtalk/abalone/begin

The track manufacturer custom made the track for Exotic Cars at Caesars Palace. My track is larger and the current layout is twice as large. I did have the Caesars track in the warehouse where my track is laid out for a day for a little touch up and test running. It's too bad you'll probably never make it over since you are moving. Good luck by the way.

I changed the layout a little tonight--it's very fast coming off the 2.5-tile wide turn into the 3-tile wide turn and then down the 2-tile wide 40+ feet straight. It's just too bad that it will probably be the last set up in the warehouse. I took the second photo with only part of the overhead lighting on.

I'm letting Kazz drive my 1/4 scale so I will be there. Supposedly TNB will get some magazine credit.
