You apparently misunderstood my previous post. Basically, during the past few months the Saturday races began around 5PM+. And this past Saturday the race was held at 2PM, probably since it is starting to get dark sooner and cooling off outside. In other words, it's not as hot outside so more people want to race earlier.

I was out at the Silver bowl track today and some guys where telling me that they (the county) where planning on closing the RC tracks there. Does anyone know if that is true or not?
Me personally I have Sundays and Mondays off. So that only gives me Monday to run on the dirt track. If they are maybe they could move it to the Air strip and then we would have a new free track to race/ play on.

The Paris Race is going to be held there October 12-16th. If you want to try and run off-road, there is always the Finishline track, the Boulder City track, and the Sandy Valley track.

I was planning on coming out and watching the road racing. So does that mean the tracks are going to stay open? Or is the Paris open the last races there?

Myself, I haven't heard anything about the Silverbowl tracks closing. I only hear about the petty squabbling that goes out there as a result of two different types of tracks and two different clubs, not to mention the petty squabbling that was taking place within a certain race club. That is why I stay out of it.

Finishline did close their on-road track, but it has been expanding the off-road track. There will also probably be an off-road point series between Finishline, the track in Boulder City, and the track in Sandy Valley beginning next month. Off-road racing at Finishline this Saturday starting at 2PM.

I don’t understand the fight, I do have Mondays off so going to the track on Monday is fine for me. That gives me Sundays to prep my truck. It is too bad that they could not work together and get maintenance done, that needs to be done. The dirt track really needs to be watered down to smooth out the runs.

More photos from the Paris Race--I also heard from several people that the Silverbowl off-road track is going to be turned into a playground.

You should probably just go to the track instead of pick on the kiddies. Then again, you may want another ticket.
