I agree with lvblueyedboy! I love what nitro offroading brings to RC; its fast, exciting, and very extreme. However, I also like electric on road as well (not as much as off road nitro). I think running on-road electric cars mentally programs your mind, reflexes, and helps build important skills that you can carry over to other car classes. If this in-door track opens up, I'll definitely hit it up especially in the summer.

This is supposed to be the link to the new track's website; however, it was not up when I checked it.

Hey TNB do you know if it is for nitro as well or just electric?

It will probably be electric only, but I'm not the owner. I will write that the owner is more into electrics and since there are already several nitro tracks in the area, it seems unlikely. And though I have yet to see the warehouse, NITRO also brings up a lot of other concerns when running inside--like breathing.

I was hopng for a indoor track for nitro. Oh well I will just deal with the heat instead of running inside I guess.

As I learn more, I'll post it. Otherwise, just check the track site periodically.

Nice pics Tigger!

Do you know what the schedule will be for finishline this weekend? Saturday and Sunday? Hours? Open Practice and Race. I can't seem to keep up with their schedule.

Racing is usually on Saturdays - Open around 7AM, Racing around 10AM.
Practice on Sunday - Open around 10AM to 4PM (sunset).

Myself, I liked it when it started later but I just have to get my rear in gear if I want to make it down there in time. I assume there will still be open practice at Finishline even when there is ongoing racing at the other two tracks, but I don't know for sure since there is going to be a three-track point series. I know it is doubtful if I'll be driving out to Sandy Valley.

Winter point series races:

December 3- Finish Line
December 10- Boulder City
December 17- Outer Limits
Dec 24- off
Dec 31-off
January 7- Finish Line
Jan 14 - Boulder City
Jan 21 - Outer Limits
Jan 28- Finish Line
Feb 4 - Boulder City
Feb 28 -Outer Limits

Part of the reason is that it now gets darker sooner--saving "juice" by not using electricity. It is also cooler now and not 120 degrees outside.

How long have you lived in Las Vegas and how many times have you actually raced at Finishline? Some people don't like to run RCs when it is 120F outside--that is why the racing started later. However, since the ambient temps have dropped, racing started earlier. Now that it is getting darker sooner, the racing has started even earlier. And if you still want to "actually" race or even plan to race later, donate some generated lights to the track and pitch in for the electricity.

Well I hope you had fun. I was in snow country until today--off course, it only snowed on Saturday.
