Status: offline 		big thanks for the pics and the info, very reasonable on the price and from the looks of it, the spinner back plate looks to be 1/4 inch thick, that might be what I need to fit my motors with out any mods...

Status: offline 		I unbolted the needle valves from the bracket and mounted them on the firewall. .46AX needles are on an adjustable bracket, and can be removed. It was a tight squeeze, but I got it done.

Status: online 		Well got a few more flights under its belt so decided to finnish her off, painted up the Graunper 11/7's, peeled off the radiator stickers and made some more scale type ones filled and painted, and added some flight crew

I am a new member of this group and a fan of the Jamara Mosquito. The mine fly very well with two electric engines AXI 2820/12,





BUT BE CAREFULL, There is a big error about the CG in the original doc.

Look at below the good place of the CG for a good and a safe flight...

Hi all, have not been around much, been busy flying for a change. Just to let you all know Dave Brown has put some spinners on Ebay. They are made to exactly the profile that the Mossie used as the drawing used was taken off the profile of the real thing. (See page 15)

They are the best you will get and are absolutly spot on. See picture below. Dave said he intends to make some more but is very busy at the moment.

Need to decide on engines though.
I've read the posts and most people have their favourites but which would you guys consider the best to put in it? (Contentious I know)

Saito FA50/56 - ok?
RCV 58CV - slim design - less cowl bashing
OS FS52S - good reputation

Obviously reliability is a big factor here (even with a TwinSync) but weight will be an issue (heavier the better I guess) as will the sound

Status: offline 		If you want the sound, you should go with 4-strokes. I think nearly any motor could be as reliable as you want, just make sure it has enough brake-in time (the older the engine the better).

I bought 2 new Magnum 52 FS, they are identical with the OS version. Maybe not as good finish. I had them both on my engine-break-in-mount for about 3x 250 cc tanks, and I think the run nice, and nearly same rpm. These Magnum are just cheaper them OS.

But the Saitos would be very lovely in the plane. I had one FA-72 and earlier I thought about buying one more. But I got some response that they would be too big for the cowls.

For the weight, I plan on douple receiver (2x 5-cells) batteries on a MPX RX-9 receiver. Glow-driver for the engines. And maybe a special ACT voltage regulator. All just to make some use of the extra weight up-front you need.

Status: offline 		I just started assembling a Mossie myself. Thanks for all the tips fellas. I'm thinking of using a pair of O.S. FSR .40s. Theoretically, it will go about like a rocket. I probably have some reinforcing to do.

Status: offline 		OS .40's will be OK, but not a rocket by any means. It can easily handle them without re-enforcing. I'd opt for the .46AX's, you can then get a bit more thrust which helps a lot on take off. Don't go by the recommended power, whoever came up with that was a bit off.

Status: offline 		Well, those old FSR 40s are a bit more powerful than the new ones, or should I say a LOT more powerful. Pretty comparable to a Tigre 51, just without the weight.

Status: offline 		Well I feel dumb now. That's not bad on the weight. I'm thinking of using robart mechanicals, though. They should work fine and they're about half the price. I just wish someone made some scale retracts for this particular model.
