PROPS,I'M RUNNING A BLUE ZDZ 80 AND RUN A ZINGER 26/10 WOOD PROP AND IT PULLS REAL NICE .THATS A TAXI TEST ONLY BUT IT LOOKS TO BE THE RIGHT COMBINATION.

hi Delta:

that is a very nice install indeed. I think i speak for a few other DA 85 owners in that we would be very happy to purchase a prop extension from you if you would be willing to sell one.

I have been working on a reduction drive an scale Constant Speed propeller for..oh, gee, 3 years plus now and do hope to get it into production some day (Dino, are you listening?) Darrell, you too??

however, in the mean time i would really like to get this flying and it looks like your install is a good solution.

if you arent interested in making/selling them, perhaps Darrell would if you would provide any specs.

and yes, we would all like some pics.

nice work.

thanks

if all else fails, I can do these standoffs and extensions for you

Roger

Hi All,

Here is another Comp P51 I'm doing for a customer, this time round I'm using Lesonal Platinum ,you apply this in the same way as the Alsa Mira Chrome, the finish is more of a polished metal rather than the high crome.
Here are some pics of the P51,the main part of the nose is done in the Platinum and the panel around the exhaust stacks is the Mira Chrome.

Cheers Graham.

Hi All,

Yes this stuff is real good and is in between the Alsa Mira & Ghost Chromes,it works out slightly cheaper too.
Here is A pic of Bernds P47 from Germany, this is done all in the Platinum but using a dark Blue base coat!!!! and a pic of my last Comp P51 in Mira Chrome.

Cheers Graham.

Looks great Graham!

Its difficult to achieve this lustre and light refraction with most paints. As you noted the point
is recreate the required sheen and "bright" surface without becoming a mirror. Your surface
prep was excellent and doesn't show the typical semi-feathering commonly found because
people simply get tired of wet sanding : )

Excellent, simply excellent craftsmanship!
