Zpat -> Engine for a Westcoast R/C Miss RJ (7/22/2004 1:17:04 PM) I've picked up what I believe is referred to as a 1/4 pylon racer. I'm not familiar at all with .15 size engines and was wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction as to an engine purchase. Thanks, Pat

We flew those 1/4 Midgets here in Sweden 15-20 years ago (Now only F3D and Q-500 pylon) and first used .15 engines like the Rossi and Cox conquest engines...still have a nib one left somewhere.......but later changed the rules to allow only .21 engines. So it all depends what type of flying you want?! A .15 engine will fly the plane rather good if you get hold of a highreving .15 engine like the old Rossi .15...A .21 Rossi or Nova Rossi ..or a K&B .21 or a MVVS .21 will let it fly even faster (top speed around 200-220km/h when using a pipe and 80/20 fuel and a 7x5 prop). So what kind of airplane action do you want? Regards! Jan K Sweden

The stab has come loose and there is some cosmetic damage to the wing tips due to hanger rash but the building looks right on. I checked O.S., Nova Rossi, Norvel and MVVS. I'm looking at the MVVS .15 GFS/R since I already have experience with this fine engine. The plane weighs 793 grams at this point. (No engine, tank, or radio) I'd like to go fast and turn left. This will be the smallest airplane I have ever flown. It will be hand launched, if possible. Got any speed secrets? Thanks, Pat
