Hi, I'm finishing assembling my H9 Super Cub, this is my 8th ARF so I think I was overconfident when assembled the horizontal stab and after the epoxy cured I realized the horizontal stab is not horizontally aligned with the wing, I measured the height of the stab from floor and there is a 1/2 inch difference at the tips of the stab that is almost 28 inches long. The vertical fin is 90 degrees in both sides in relation to the stab so it is not 90° from fuselage and wings.

Questions:

Will it Fly? What will be the effect in flight of the horizontal stab not being aligned with the wings?
Is any radio mix I can use to solve the problem?

Thanks in Advance

The plane will tend to turn towards the higher side.
It will be a minor annoyance at best.

Yes, it should fly. Only the elevator will act as a very ineffective rudder but good elevator, and the rudder will be an ineffective elevator.

Tall Paul and Sergeant Thanks for the info, next sunday should be the first flight, I saw a Funtana 40 in my club last saturday and I noticed, it has flying wires in the bottom of the hor stab, Do you think I can use flying wires to make the stab horizontal?

That is in knife edge flight right?

Flying wires as you describe are required to keep the surface from fluttering off the airplane.
Cubs have them, but using them to apply the leveling you want will stress the structure of the horizontal and vertical.
Fly it, and see if the misalignment is bothersome.
If not forget it.
If it is, heat the epoxy to loosen its grip, and re-epoxy it level.

Tall Paul,
I'm wondering about the suggestion to heat the epoxy and reposition the stab. How much heat is required? Also, wouldn't you have to be heating top, bottom, and both sides at the same time too loosen it up enough? Lastly, would the covering in those areas have to be replaced due to the heat that I'm assuming would be needed. I'm asking because I have a similar problem and I'll be maidening it this weekend. Since it's an aerobatic 1\4 scale it will be more of a nuisance than say on the Cub. Thanks

I've heated epoxy to remove parts. I'm not sure it rehardens properly, that's why I mentioned the re-epoxy.
The epoxy holds the heat well, so the heatgun can be moved from place to place during the process.
If after the part is repositioned and the epoxy has cooled it appears to be holding, it should be OK.
But I'd test on something first.
