I was going to order my HPI R40 this morning and I got to looking and now I don't know what kind of engine will work with it. It says you need a "pilot shaft" engine. Is the pilot shaft also referred to as an SG crank or a standard threaded crank. Will someone pleeeeasse help me!!

the r-40 kit comes with parts for both sg and threaded shafts

ya either a SG or standard shaft will work with the r40 without having to buy anything else....

I had one of those engines when I had my R40 and I could never fit it right the carb in that engine its too small.

get the novarossi S3 im running it now on my v-on rr evo all i can say that this engine kicks a$$ plus the 40 design is almost the same as the evo
