Its impossible to drift a FWD car. Theres no way you can get the back end to spin around in a turn.

Every now and again a fwd civic kid will come try to drift with us, they put serving trays from fast food places under the rear tires and lock the handbrake, but its all nonsense, you can't control the drift with the throttle, so you really have no control. But hey, if you only have a fwd car, I guess its better than drag racing your honda (equally lame).

As for r/c fwd drifting, it seems like it would be even harder than 1:1 drifting fwd. But if you want to give it a try, please do, I'd be curious to see it.

Hmm, a fwd r/c car could be made into a rwd, front engine (FR) r/c, THAT might be a good candidate for rwd drifting (better weight balance, a lot less like trying to drift an MR2 or porsche, which is what drifting an rc10 is like)

but flipping the power around and running front engine, rear wheel drive would be awesome! Too bad its a tamiya.

well, if you think about it... tamiya's cars aren't THAT bad... I mean look, they have most popular drift car kit on the market... the TL-01.... their electronics could use an upgrade... new to esc... but overall it's pretty good. I would change out the shocks too...

they are popular drift cars because they are cheap. They are great bashers, but nowhere near race quality.

well DUH , that's why they use them as bashers and not high end race cars.... make something crappy into something worthwhile you know?
