The Zap 400 is the Australian release of the Shogun/Zoom/Dolphin/etc...
It comes with some anodised parts I think, which the other country's releases do not come with.

Hi there!

You think this shop in Australia is trustable? I´m in Brasil and I make purchases all over the world, specially from Airraft World, HObby People, etc. But I´ve never bought on this rcMart from Australia.
Do you all recommend it?

Regards

Hey is there anyone out there that have had any problems with the tail shaft gears. I've just recieved my heli and i didn't even get it in the air before the plastic gears just striped out. I think it was from the torque of the motor that did it but im not sure. I was told Helihobby.com would have the mods. and spare parts. Went there and found plenty of upgrades. Take a look and add to this reply. I know there are gonna be some more defects and its just a matter of time before i run into them.

My pin fell out of the tail. The one that holds the arm that the servo turns.
Should replace with a ball joint if you have one of the right size. It's not an if, rather a WHEN it falls out. I just read about this issue yesterday and now today (when I have yet to even get it in the air) it fell out.

Swazzi, you go to trains and lanes? They are about right down the street from you lucky... Tell them to start carrying heli parts... dammmmmm

Funny you should mention the tail gears....

I thought it was my gyro (new setup... ) but last night I found my gear had stripped out. NOT HAPPY.

I'm calling Hobby People and see if I can get some gears that work! They distribute the heli I believe.

I just received an assembled (advertised as "RTF" Zap400 from Rc-experts. The motor didn't even spin because all the fittings associated with the tail were too tight. First thing I did was reposition the tail boom so there was a teeny amount of gear slop on both ends of the tail rotor driveshaft. This may be part of the problem that is causing people to lose their gears. Mine is rotating fine now, but I still haven't gotten it completely sorted out yet.

are you guys using super soft start in governor mode??? it works only in gov mode. if not, that's why you are stripping gears during spool up. if i dont use soft start, ill strip the main gear even on my x400 which has deep teeth and probably the beefiest maingear on a micro heli. the shogun's maingear is pretty tough too, but the tail input isnt. aside from good gear mesh and free of vibration, this should solve the problem. this is why the shogun is NOT a beginner's heli. if you dont want to deal with this, upgrade to belt drive or get a better heli.

i have an upgraded shogun with a belt driven tail, and i tell you its reliability and still doesnt come anywhere near my x400.
