I thought the PVC pipe was part of the aiplane. I guess it was just the camera angle as I now see its an airplane stand.

I have had the harrier 46 with a 91 Fs and it was fine, but it was even better with a 91 two stroke. I really think a 91 FS will be at best VERY marginal in the bigger 90 size brother, that is if one want to fly 3-D and not just float around

i initially had an OS 50sx with an 11x5 TF prop, and it was a great combo, then i added a Saito 91 GK with a 13x8 apc and it was perfect, it slowed it down and gave me more unlimited vertical, its kinda hard to explain. To balance it mounted tail feather servos in the rear,(no pull pull) and the battery behind the cg. Unfortunately it got annihilated when i had a PCM lock out, or the battery became disconnected mid air(i didnt use a safety clip)...either of the two.

Man, reading this thread made me miss my Harrier. I was a little skeptical about the quality of the plane because it was so cheap! All I had to do was look thru the covering to know what a deal this plane was. She went together quick and flew really well. It did have a lot of coupling during knife edge, but my Futaba 9C mixed that out. Hovers, harriers, blenders, all good. There was some trouble with visibility (orientation), so I put yellow stripes on the wing, which looked great until the engine quit during a low hover and I suffered some "ground-induced structural failure." I used an Evolution 100nx for power and Futaba 3010's on 6 volts all 'round.

She's in 3 pieces in my garage, and I just might reassemble her...I'm currently flying a Showtime 90. Does anyone know where I can get another Harrier 90? Horizon Hobby doesn't carry them anymore.

http://www.roguerc.com/product.php?productid=128&cat=4&page=3 appears to have a Harrier 46. I had no idea that they were beibg discontinued. It looks like you can still buy parts. Maybe get a fuse if your wings are okay or rebuild yours.

I was never too concerned about flying the getting low until now. I just thought I could go out and get another and they were so cheap.

Thanks for the info., my wings are perfect, except for the holes in the Ultracote where the wheel pants went through. When she's all put together, I might put a tiny gasser in the nose (more noise and dependability). I've kinda gotten attached to this bird, but if straightening the fuse. becomes too complicated, a new ARF would be sweet. I am going to need some spare parts, tho. Fiberglass repair sucks.

Dude that's ugly, but fixable. Mine was close to being that bad, most of my damage was done in the wings, which for me are easier to repair. Hard to get that fuse to line back up straight. If your wings are good I'd go with the new fuse. http://www.wholesaletrains.com/Detailair.asp?ID=200409573 Check to see if they actually still carry it. If they do, get it, strip it, and recover in something other than that crashworthy trans blue. The rudder, ele, and ails are easy enough to rebuild if needed. One improvement I made was to seal all the hinged surfaces. My plane is so much more stable and responsive now. It actually flies better not that I've recovered it.

I got mine from Atlanta Hobby for 99 + shipping about this time last year. The price has definately fluxuated over the months. I think they are discontinued, probably have to e-bay or swap for one.

Ooh...$165 is still cheap-ish. Thanks, Brewski.

Clocklair, Now that I think about it, straightening the fuse is pretty easy, but right now, I'm lazy and that job sounds like a pain. It's like a frame damaged car, no matter how much work is done, it still drives like a bent car (sometimes). And, I can just imagine the the plane breaking in half during a blender... This bird is cheap, so a new one makes sense, and it gives me a chance to work on my covering skills.

About sealing the gap between flying surfaces, I flew the plane without sealing, and the response wasn't crisp...it was "soggy." I also leave a good-sized gap when I hinge so that I can get lotsa throw, and then sealing becomes nessessary.
