ORIGINAL: OK2Fly Man, reading this thread made me miss my Harrier. I was a little skeptical about the quality of the plane because it was so cheap! All I had to do was look thru the covering to know what a deal this plane was. She went together quick and flew really well. It did have a lot of coupling during knife edge, but my Futaba 9C mixed that out. Hovers, harriers, blenders, all good. There was some trouble with visibility (orientation), so I put yellow stripes on the wing, which looked great until the engine quit during a low hover and I suffered some "ground-induced structural failure." I used an Evolution 100nx for power and Futaba 3010's on 6 volts all 'round. She's in 3 pieces in my garage, and I just might reassemble her...I'm currently flying a Showtime 90. Does anyone know where I can get another Harrier 90? Horizon Hobby doesn't carry them anymore. Dude that's ugly, but fixable. Mine was close to being that bad, most of my damage was done in the wings, which for me are easier to repair. Hard to get that fuse to line back up straight. If your wings are good I'd go with the new fuse. http://www.wholesaletrains.com/Detailair.asp?ID=200409573 Check to see if they actually still carry it. If they do, get it, strip it, and recover in something other than that crashworthy trans blue. The rudder, ele, and ails are easy enough to rebuild if needed. One improvement I made was to seal all the hinged surfaces. My plane is so much more stable and responsive now. It actually flies better not that I've recovered it.
