just to clear up a few things with you guys

the lad who said that the gt 40 finished behind the evo on top gear is wrong the gt40 was the 3rd fastest behind the porche carrera gt and the new mclaren

the new vette on the other had is slower than a evo

about all this american musclue i keep hearing about lets take the viper for instance 8 litre 400 bhp (cough)

i recently went to a drag shoot out in the uk to find the quickest road leagal car in the uk with
vipers
vettes
ultimas
skylines
evos
supras
westfeilds
little rover 220 ti's
honda crxs
fiats
and many more

any way the american cars lost big time

even a rarther nice tuned viper with a 100bhp shot of nos
couldnt get close to the jap cars
i was amazed when a little rover 220 ti beat a viper and by a long way
now this rover has a 2 litre engine

so you can go on about your engine capacity all yous like
but yous need to learn to use it

incase your wondering what the fastest car was it was the crd lancer with 930 bhp 10.71 secs
followed by rocket ronnie in his r33 gtr skyline with the spair wheel in the boot 850 bhp 10.72 secs
the best american car was in the high 12s
keith cowie could have easily beat these times in his 1100 bhp skyline but his front diff gave way on his first run he still managed a low 12 sec run

How about a '67 Camaro that's doing the 1/4 in mid to high 6's? I'd like to see that come out of a Civic...VERY nice car Escalde. Is that a '32?

I don't see why you all are griping about Jap vs. American...kind of pointless as you could make a Yugo go fast as Hell with the right stuff...It all depends on how you have your car set up, not if it's from China or the bottom of the ocean.

But really, I would really like to see this whole speaker setup in an R/C car. I'm into the speed and everything, but this sounds like a kickass idea...who cares about speed in this section? This whole forum section here is dedicated to the looks of things, not the performance People that are creative is a great thing, and something like this really expresses how awesome it is. I would like to see a nice '41 Willys with blower exposed out of the hood and big ass tires on the back eith a fully custom interior on an R/C car...just putting your mind to something that creative is awesome.

Good luck with the speaker deal and I hope to see something to turn a few heads in here

"couldnt get close to the jap cars " the reason is that japenese cars are made for very high acceleration, but if they went for like 2 miles, the viper and saleen would just about destroy them, or for power a truck wouldnt beat them , but if you tied each together , and had both of them floor it, the truck would pull the car all the way.

no the viper wouldent and didnt at this drag event ther was a high speed event and a handling event on atrack with corners

on the track the evos dominated

but on the high speed 1 1/4 miles the skylines beat the vipers and corvettes evry tim fastest terminal speed was 189 mph by rocket ronnie in the r33 gtr
