oh please you think your honda civic family car has anything on the vette, japanese cars are the bigest joke out there, there built to look like they go fast, there is no way little fr cars that put out 120 hp at the wheel can come anywere close to beating a good ol vette or viper. now say you race a 1000hp skyline against a stock vette, then there might be some competition. but if you take japans fastest production car(probably the skyline) and race it aganst the USA's fastest porduction car(probably the Ford GT), your little 6 banger jap would get spanked, in a road course or at the strip.

emmm... american cars dont turn, so around a track, i think the traction control on the skyline would own ya, he'd be drifting round the corners too just to show ya up. america cant make cars. they take an engine, then give it like, 100 bhp wen the engine can take about 250bhp, they dont give the engine wot it can get. and i believe the new ford gt isnt a high production car, there only giving a few of them out to each country, 28 to the uk.

ok ok then, if crovettes and vipers cant turn then how come corvettes and vipers own the gt class in alms? tommy? are those things rare supercars that somone builds out their garage and sells for a qaurter million? im not gona say much about the tommy things, but they probably cost two times more then the gt or somthing. lets talk more realisticly, i say that there is no jap car that can come close to covette performance at the same price. someone can dig up some numbers then we can talk more.
quote:

they take an engine, then give it like, 100 bhp wen the engine can take about 250bhp, they dont give the engine wot it can get.

okay. show me an american car with a 100bhp engine. so are you saying that jap cars are all about performance and high bhp engines? all of the japanese automakes have a gentlemans agreement to not produce an ff car with more then 250 horspower. the quikest jap car i can think of is the skyline and that does 0-60 in like 5.2 seconds, but they cost like roughly 80 grand in us dollars, for that price you can get a viper that will get to 60 over a second faster and goes about 20-30mph faster, and vipers will turn alot more heads then a skyline, the only downside to a viper is that it wouldnt handle as good as a skyline, due to the skyline's awd. and why would you whant some skyline any other jap car when you could have somthing manly and masculine like a viper or vette. but you can get a corvette for 35k less then a skyline and it still beats the skyline significantly in all areas, except handling, they tie right there. and like i said with the viper, corvette and gt look cooler and more manly and have alot more sex appeal. japenese cars look dual and girly and feminine, but american sports cars have muscular masculine looks. remember back in the 60's when ford made there original gt40 and raced in the old le mans series, they dominated, beating the what used to be dominant ferraris and porsches. today american cars are still kicking in all the road racing series that they compete in. tvr's are some real cars though, but a Steve Hennesy venom viper could take car of them.

the new vette is actually very good round corners but around the top gear test track it was still slower than the standard evo 7 which is slower than the evo i posted here

probly, 8. well i cant argue now because we dont have 50k subarus and 50k lancers in america, and i dont know much about those expensive jap versions. the numbers look for, they must be all twin turbocharged or somthing. i still dont see how anyone would buy one of those ugly jap things when you could get a beautiful vette or viper for a similar price, and they would go faster and have some racing history. you still havent showed me a 100 bhp american car yet.
