I told the guys at my club about my first visit and how nobody talked to me. I told them in a nice way after I had been coming for a few weeks and had gotten to know a lot of them. They were surprised and you could see that some of them felt bad about it. Visitors always get welcomed and lots of attention.

I've just joined my fourth club in 30 years, the Sierra Sage Brush Fliers in Gardnerville Nv.
Had a bad experience once with a club in Newark Ca.. It seemed the ol-timers thought the field was their's and any new guy's were trespassing. Even when they lost their field, my old club, Bayside R/C gave them free access to our field while they looked for another and when some of them came out to fly they could only complain about our place.
Fortunately there are more good guy's then bad ones so just be nice to all but screw... I mean ignore the bad ones.

All I can say is SCR*W the jerks ... you have paid your fees and you adhere to the rules so what is their problem. We are dealing with people, there will always be trouble. I mean some people think its fine to fly planes into buildings. What can we say ... oh well ...

Welcome aboard guy or gal. I'm Kraus out yonder in Warner Robins, Georgia. My active crafts now are my 105" Cub named Ursus and my 69" Citabria named Citabrianna. My next creation is my 100 inch wingspan Stinson Reliant. Oh baby. Next year he'll be ready-freddy to fly. And I think that's his name Ready-Freddy. Yea, that's the ticket.

Kraus
