ozsteel -> Hirobo Sceadu Evo 50 Owners Forum (7/31/2004 10:37 AM)

Hi, I'm interested in setting up a Sceadu Evo 50 forum for all of us who own one or who are in the market for one. It should include everything - building, flying, maintenance, parts exchange, pictures, sim set-ups, CC PM, mechanical mixing, servos - everything.

Any interest?

To kick off;

1) I don't yet own one but am desperate to do so and am spending hours on RealFlight G2. I'd love to set the sim up to behave like an Evo 50. Any one done so?
2) Anyone know where I could get a manual to download so that I can spend a bit of time familiarising myself with parts and construction ahead of time.

Look forward to building a really interesting place for Evo 50 users.

well maybe a Sceadu forum would be a good idea, but not one dedicated to only one varient, what about the 30/50 non-evo, and the 30-evo, they would need to be covered, but yes definatly

There used to be a Hirobo forum for the Evo, freya, eagle, etc... I think it went away due to lack of use...

ozsteel -> RE: Hirobo Sceadu Evo 50 Owners Forum (8/1/2004 1:36 PM)

Thanks for the feed back.

My idea of a forum for the Sceadu comes from a web site called raptortechnique.com which seems to be filled with info on that heli and is a reference for many who fly it.

There is also a web site called hirobotechnique.com but it hasn't been updated since 18 March 2002.

It seems to me that the Sceadu Evo has captured the imagination of a great deal of people and seems to be very popular - it was also awarded model of the year last year - whatever that means!

I would definitely include both variants 30 and 50 and any mods people cose to make - can we change the name of the thread after it is set? Maybe we need to start a new thread to include the 30.

The Evo variant also seems to be relatively new and therefore may attract more interest?

Lets see how it goes. Thanks for your interest so far. [sm=thumbup.gif]

I have been flying my Evo for most of the summer. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. I'm not organized enough to set up that intensive of a website but it would be nice. I have been very happy with my Evo. I have an R50V2 and a Fury. The Fury has only been out once this season and the R50 maybe a dozen or so flights. Evo is going back in my truck for more flying tomorrow as soon as it comes off the charger!
Later,,,Matt

I thought there was a Hirobotechnique.com!!!!!!!!

Why there is not a forum room in this website for hirobo? There is one for just about everything else...Including LMH!!

We got to get one going for HIROBO!!!!!

Anthony Marr -> RE: Hirobo Sceadu Evo 50 Owners Forum (9/26/2004 10:39 PM)

I just bought two helis - one a JR Ergo 60 and the other a Hirobo Sceadu EVO 50. Both will be used as aerial videography/photography platforms. I'll be glad to contribute once I have anything to report.

Anyone knows the max payloads of these machines?

Any in-depth comparison reviews on the Sceadu EVO 50 vs the TT Raptor 50?

Anthony

Evos rock!
Flew mine for the 1st time a few weeks ago after spending months flying G2. Spent about 1/4 tank hovering thought "ok thats enough". Opened up the throttle and started doing circuits.

So in short, G2 or simulators definitely help. After a week of getting used to the controls and trying different pitch curve/throttle curve combo's, I'm starting to shoot auto's. Can't wait to start getting into 3D.

I am however getting a little bit of 'whoof' and 'poof' on my blades, and I'm only mildly hooning it around. Apparently TT600 Blades are good. Does anybody know where I can get my hands on some of them down here in little old New Zealand? (sending from somewhere in Singapore would be ok too).

Currently I'm flying most nights (weather permitting) and going through at least 2 tanks per session. Here's a photo (the engine is running a little bit rich since it was it's first flight). I sent this one to my mum and all she could say was 'you could have smiled...'

SENECA -> RE: Hirobo Sceadu Evo 50 Owners Forum (10/13/2004 4:54 PM)

There are many people including myself on www.rchelispot.com that fly Sceadu's/Evo's.
I have 4 of them myself. There is not a better 30-50 size heli out there.[8D]
