Hey guys, I need your help. I need to know the factory carb settings of an O.S. .15 CV-R w/ slide carb and a NovaRossi C12 with rotary carb. I tried looking on the net, but OS's site was no help, and NovaRossi's site is Italian, which I cannot read. I read somewhere that the C12 was 5 turns out on the high speed and 2 on the low, but that sounds strange. Thanks!

If you can find the settings on OS's site, you are my hero. Also, if you can read French, you are a GOD! So, why not help me out?

I have 3 cv.12rx motors and the factory settings if I recall are about H/s 3.5 turns out, bottom 2.5, now keep in mind that your motors are used so no telling what condition there in , and more than likely factory setting are gonna be to rich for a motor that has already been broken in, I would check to see what kinda compreeion they have before doing any tuning. OS engine
http://www.osengines.com/manuals/15cv-r-cv-rx-manual.pdf
page 15-19
2 out on top (it says that on page 15, but that sounds funny?)
2.5 in from flush on the bottom

the Rossi engine i can't help you with other than to give you the current settings on my MT12
3 out on the top
1.5 out on the bottom, when in the closed position
go about .5 turn out on each and you'll probably be fine

My MT12 never came with a manual that shows settings either

The RB site the has all the info in both French and English
http://www.rbproducts.com/indexEn.php

a c12 is a RB engine not a Nova Rossi

copy and paste fom the RB site

ROTARY carburetor settings.
The RB Concept carburetors of the 2.11cc(.12) engines are set at the factory with a special vacuum measure tool before they are packed, to obtain a setting for an easy start of the engine. If you are lost with your settings we cannot ask you to send back your carburetor to set it for you, so we propose to you in this way the settings we find generally as an average setting.

The main-needle(A) is used to adjust the debit of the fuel when the barrel is totally opened, it must be turned in totally(closed) and then opened again 4 turns.

The idle needle(B) situated in the barrel is used to adjust the debit of the fuel when the barrel is in the closed position(idle), it must be turned in totally(be sure you position the barrel in the open position before you do this, so you do not damage or block the needle in the spray-bar) and then open again 3,3/4 turns.

The idle/air-screw(C) is used to adjust the idle rpm, it must be turned so that when the barre of the carburetor is closed there is an air-gap(D) of approx. 0.6mm.

Please note that these settings should help you start your engine and that in normal conditions these settings are as we say on the rich side. You still have to adjust your carburetor to get optimal performance. Also please be aware that the settings can varie compared to the fuel you use. The settings mentioned above have been made with RB Concept Fuel.

Ah, thanks guys! I eventually found the settings I needed on someone's site. Now, the C12 I have is an "RB" and not a "NovaRossi?" That is quite odd. I will have to get a picture. It has a purple head, and I could have sworn to it having the Nova symbol on the crank case! Oh well, I 'spose that doesn't matter. Thanks for your help people!
